IMO, releasing a 3rd single, shows a commitment by RCA for this album. Many albums never get 3 singles, especially after 2 have basically failed on radio. Even FYE didn't get a 3rd single here.

Well, I hope it's because RCA knows they dropped the two weekest songs on TRESPASSING as singles and maybe they've learned that name-dropping Bruno Mars isn't everything. I absolutely love runnin' . Love it, love it, love it. It's gorgeous and emotional without falling into ballad territory. But I do not want it to be a radio single; I want an in-your-face pop/dance/funk song. (cuckoo, trespassing, shady, pop that lock or even kicking in). *whispers* but am I the only one that giggles at the contrast between the song's title (RUNNIN') and it's most evocative line (I've been STANDING here my whole life)? Just me, I'm sure.  |

Trespassing has so many singles material but RCA was so afraid to release the daring singles, instead has chosen the safe ways. He did what they told him to do, he did all those intensive radio promo and did all these radio concerts and not much happening. IMO, if they didn't take off as planned, they cannot blame/punished Adam or the album for their mistakes. I hope with this third single, he will do the TV talks show rounds from morning to night which he hasn't done for the first 2 singles. |

So assuming that Cuckoo is the next single, I think we need to give Adam some suggestions for the movie video. I know he said a while back that he already had an idea based on a film; I'm guessing he meant One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. But that is a pretty grim movie, and actually is very similar to the look of NCOE. ALso, he doesn't like to do literal interpretations of the songs. So my suggestion is going to involve birds. His interaction with the cockatoo in that People magazine shoot was so hilarious that I could see a variety of short cuts with different types of birds. We already know he does a crazed emu very well, so that would lend itself to some great dancing! I would like something completely silly and crazy, because the last two have been pretty serious. Or maybe he ends up inside of a cuckoo clock and he's the one who goes out the little door and shouts "cuckoo!" Bring on the birds! Haha , that's cool !!! Well , I was actually thinkin that the vid should be FUNNY AS HELL !!!!!!! AND CRAZY AS HELL ...... LIKE "ADAM WALING DOWN THE STREETS NAKED" CRAZY .He and his friends do the craziest crazy things until the police takes them away . LOL . I think your ideas are more original , though |
