As much as I'd love it to happen, for the reasons stated by others here at ATOP, the Idol judging gig might be fraught with controversy. Lots of haters might say Adam hasn't paid his dues or earned the right, doesn't have the sales to justify the position, blah, blah, blah... Also, sitting at the judging table would limit Adam to a few sentences of post performance critiques and remarks that can get repetitious week after week even with his ginormous word bank and articulative skills. I mean how many ways can you say pitchy, boring, superb, great costume choice, etc.? (This is not to excuse Randy who IMO seems to have a cue card of 5 stock phrases that he says over and over.) Instead, I would love to see Adam take on a recurring mentoring role where he could really shine and show the viewers just how much he knows about music, production, style, etc. He could also DEMONSTRATE his ideas to the contestant ("Try singing it like this"...) and the TV audience would collectively drop their jaws in reaction to his awesomeness. It would really add something to the show if a group of mentors could take on the appropriate weeks based on the themes. I'd love to see Adam add his expertise to "Summer of Love", rock, Queen songs, etc. If only Idol would listen to me. ;D Oh well, a girl can dream can't she? During GNT, Adam sang the same songs but these songs always sound different in every single concert. And he was asked the same questions over and over again for 2YEARS and I felt like I wanted to gag when I heard the same questions, but Adam's answers always sounded new and different from every interview in every country/radio stations. That's where I'm at teddybear. I feel like he needed the Idol gig to get his album and songs noticed (and selling). I mean, without radio, where can he get the exposure his career needs? Yeah - and the weekly exposure would help put the butts in the seats in those larger concert venues. It would all work together. And it really doesn't matter what the next single is if radio isn't on it. Can a single sell if no one hears it? :-/ guess I need directions to the dark side. :( I do not think this needs to be posted on the dark side. Fine to post it here. But I do not believe that Adam needs to be on Idol or his career is over or stagnated. I can create many paths to greater success for him. I also have not given up on radio.... If they release Cuckoo, I think it will get airplay. He got enough airplay for NCOE to give the song a real shot -- and the music video was excellent. He performed it on the Idol Top 3 show. It just did not sell very much. We often joke about Adam being able to sing the phonebook but really he needs good songs and Trespassing is loaded with good song written by Adam Lambert. They just need a chance. If it was left to radio execs to pick, Adele would not have gotten Pop airplay, Fun's "We Are Young" were never have seen the light of day, etc. -- Other scenarios -- track gets to be in a hit movie or TV commercial, he co-headlines an arena show, he gets funding to put on a real show -- Cirque d'Adam, I could go on. But there are always opportunities.

Just wanted to report that I just blasted the Hammersmith Concert II Version II on my good car stereo to and fro Walmart. Sounds really good! Mine downloaded in about 10 minutes via the torrent. I could even understand a few little "ass" comments that I didn't hear when I was there live. Anyway, thanks talon for the DL info. I still hope Adam gets the Idol gig, because he seems to really want it and I think it would be a good boost to his career/album sales. But if he doesn't get it, he'll be fine and so will we. Silver lining, maybe Tour II will start earlier in 2013! I'm SO ready! bamafan - Did you burn it to CD?? Or you put it in Ipod? Can you please pm me the download info via torrent?

vikkisusanne Only Idol bubble people woud say that. I have friends and family that are faithful Idol watchhers but are not on-line and don't even buy the albums of the kids later. But they are faithful to the TV show. Everyone of them has said they think Adam would be awesome. And they don't all know that I am a stan, so they weren't saying that just to appease me. Point taken. I'm only trying to alleviate my angst by dreaming up another role for Adam so I can see him on my TV. I guess I am jaded by reading so much online nastiness. :-[. I still think that Adam would be terrific as a regular mentor. Wasn't Idol planning on making some changes this year besides just replacing the judges? Haven't watched it since season 8 except for when our boy was on.

I agree with you -- I think Adam would bring more to Idol than he would take. Many people really like Adam but are not fans of his music. They prefer alt rock or country-rock or AC or want him to sing show tunes or ...... But I still want him to be on tour with a big show. I honestly have never worried about Adam. He is smart ahd always seems to have many things in motion so he is always covered.

Mys*&@^#r, what did Adam say in the Sacramento interview, and what were the UK tweets? I was at the lake last week and out of the loop. And I agree with the post above, a new single is exciting. But, it needs to be heard or the excitement will be short-lived and replaced with the same old frustrations. eta---no gloomy predictions, but if a single is to be successful there has to be a plan. And if radio isn't an option, then there needs to be something else. Here is the Sacramento interview. A little box pops up on your screen, there is a commercial, then scroll down to Adam Lambert Interview. link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid791221704001?bckey=AQ~~,AAAAAFqnSZA~,mtHzAXuFGnSyLo3tUshuarE5ax5zOkYW&bclid=1847335599&bctid=1747311130001 The tweets may be harder for me to find, but I'll bet gelly saved them. Maybe we can get them tomorrow when she wakes up.

If Adam is already signed, there'd be no reason for him to "be in talks." And seriously, since when does the actual star go in and talk? JLo didn't. Steven didn't. Mariah didn't. It was all handled through her management, which I am sure the way Adam's or anyone else's would be. When Adam got back from London, July 16th, he told us all to go all out requesting NCOE. Within a week, he became all giddy about something and has now told us there will be a new single announced in a week or so. What made RCA decide on a new single now? I would have bet anything they'd be waiting until Sept. Maybe the new single needs to correspond with a big announcement? There is also the Sacramento interview and those tweets from the UK last week. Something is up. Oh, and Idol is not dead. It still gets 18 million viewers a week. The only thing that beats it is Pro Football! I am going to keep being optimistic about this happening for Adam, mostly because he wants it and because I want him 2 days a week on my television. He would be good! Honestly, if Idol/FOX didn't take note of all the press Adam being considered generated (all positive,) they are idiots!

Adamme I only put music on CDs for the car or CD player. I know almost nothing about music files, etc. My son does a lot for me. I think with Talon's latest post, you can download via mediafire, which is what I normallly do, but didn't have Mediafire links to Version II yesterday, so I had my son do the torrent thing. Just use mediafire and you will wind up with FLAC files. Then I used Traders Little Helper (posted on Atop) to convert FLAC to Wave and then my RealPlayerPlus burned them to 2 CDs.
