This probably belongs in the numbers thread, but since you did it first, Q3, I will have to disagree with this. NCOE got crappy radio play! It had about 1/2 the adds that BTIKM got and the only thing that kept it afloat was Boston KISS, Q102, and SIRIUS. It came out in April and barely lasted 2 months.
That being said, I think it was the song and not resistance to Adam. I am very optimistic that Cuckoo will get picked up much faster.

Oh, and Idol is not dead. If AL doesn't get the gig, they are dead to me.  Seriously, though, this is the way I choose to view it: If AL gets the gig, the show is STILL relevant with an audience of nearly 20 million! If AL doesn't, the show is washed up. 8-) I like your overall love of the show, MyS*&@^#r. I'm so confused about my own feelings toward it that I feel like I have whip-lash. I've watched since Season 1 and initially enjoyed it for its cheesy goodness. I'd get interested in someone, vote a couple times (maybe), then be bummed for a few hours if they were eliminated, and move on. Then Season 8 comes along and everything is turned upside down. I still watch, but I can't enjoy the show without thinking, "I'm so glad I'm not emotionally invested in these people. Feels good to watch and not care what happens." But there is this whole AI subculture that I enjoy (minus the trolls and butthurt fans, of course). My sis, who lives far from me, and I have a tradition of watching and texting we have developed an entire vocabulary and abbreviations. Sometimes I wish it were still just a stupid guilty pleasure to me.  |

But Adam never denied it. I think the first reliable reports we have on what is going on are the three reports from today -- including US Magazine who is very well connected to Fox Entertainment, CORE and most artists' PR teams. |

ETA: With your main point that it is the songs not the artist. Bring on a song that Adam created. |

I fixed my post to reflect the right Jonas -- but Nick would not be much of a judge either. And he and the JBs were dropped by Hollywood Records. His last release was an EP of show tunes from How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying -- on Broadway Records (indie label). And he is the one that is the jerk. So I sort of had the right one. -- . Joe Jonas is the one who is a jerk. He broke up with Taylor Swift over a "27 second phone call". :  Teen drama and angst- LOL! Nick dated Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez for a while. |

It is my DH's birthday this Sunday. I asked him what he wanted. He said simply "For you not to talk about Adam Lambert for the whole day." :( It's gonna be tough.... I read your post to my husband. He laughed and said he wants to form a self-help group for all the husbands that have to listen to Adam Lambert talk all day. Wish him a Happy Birthday from us. Yeah, the self-help group is a great idea. I always thought my DH needed some kind of support group. There could be world-wide organization with its own website, just like Atop. DH still hasn't quite forgiven me for the time when I picked him up from the airport after him being overseas for three weeks, and as soon as we got home, I started showing him Adam videos. He had not seen me for weeks, and was dead tired due to jet lag -- he seriously wanted to kill me. :( I will wish him a Happy Birthday from you guys. Thanks!!!! |
