Adam has said, with a shit eating grin, a number of times "This is just the beginning" Whenever things start rolling so much happens ,that I can't keep up. I just hate secrets.

got a renewal reminder from the fan club...not sure... aside from horrible t-shirts - no other benefit...but if the tour rolls in then there might be a pre-sale... decisions....decisions...

Q3 said: IF Adam's single sales had soared after all of his Idol performances, I would be on the Adam as judge = increased sales. Being a judge week in week out is very different than singing one song during performance night. I agree, this doesn't sell many singles. I think one of the reason WWFM did so well after his Idol performance is that it was on the week that he got to be mentor. People got to see how nice and intelligent he is. It was more than just a quick performance spot and more like the judgeship. The judgeship would be even more potent since it would be on going throughout the season. I think my comment has been misunderstood because I was not very clear. I believe Adam being on Idol would be great and I see no downside. He wants it, and I support whatever makes him happy. My two points remain: 1. Idol is not the ONLY path for Adam, just one possible path. Adam throws a lot of things out to the universe and some amazing things have happened. If this does not happen it will be OK and the PR value of being discussed seriously for a month has been good for him. >> I disagree with the posts that Adam needs to be an Idol judge -- that this is his only option. 2. Being an Idol judge or a talent contest judge does not guarantee recorded music sales. Yes, it can do that, but there is no guarantee.>> The is a lot of evidence that this is the case. >> What it may do is give an artist access to the very best pop songs and producers and collaborators. My guess is that JoLo would not have gotten those songs or collaborations without Idol. A couple examples..... Sometimes being on a talent show can make a big hit, bigger --- "On The Floor" and "Move Like Jagger" were #1 hits in countries that do not get American Idol or The Voice. My guess is they would have been hits in the US without the talent show connection. Cee Low Green's one big hit - "Fuck You" was released August 19, 2010 and peaked on pop radio on April 16, 2011. (chart peak was earlier at #2). The Voice premiered on April 26, 2011. Cee Low has released 6 singles since he became a Voice Judge. None have charted on the Billboard 100. >> I have never posted that being a talent contest judge in general or an American Idol judge specifically will hurt Adam in any way. What I keep trying say is being an Idol judge is NOT a sure path to success for Adam and it is certainly not his last chance to be successful.

Oh there were definitely benefits. Presales, so far, for several concerts, Queen and Costa Mesa to just name 2. Besides, I just bought several albums and donated 3 times to a UK buying campaign, why would I not spend 9.99 for his fan club?

I would add to the must have list, Adam's performance of BTIKM on Jay Leno. Why? It was his first live performance of a song from his sophomore album. You can see his nerves. He got up there, he sung the fuck out of that song and the audience rewarded him with love.
Not to mention he looked spectacular! I have the video, which I downloaded the day of or morning after the performance on my hard drive. I am grateful I downloaded it as NBC took down the video faster than was really necessary. I would share it, but I don't know how to share it. Plus, I don't really want to get into trouble with the powers that be.
Honestly, I love any performance I have seen of Adam's where he gets on the stage, sings his heart out and gets off the state with little fuss or muss. Think "Heaven on Their Minds" or the EMA performance with Queen. Those performances are all business, intense and fierce. Love them!
Also, thank you all for the birthday wishes on Tuesday. I appreciate it! It is nice to be recognized for simply being born. I turned 48 and a friend mistakenly thought it was my 50th. She gifted me with book of activities for a 50 year old and a magnifying glass with a built in light (that will actually come in handy). I thought it was hilarious! Guess I get to 'practice' being 50 before it really happens.
