Omg, Cassie, thanks for pointing out that alliteration in OOL!!!! I completely missed it. Let's look at alliteration and see how its usage can aid create emotion.
Alliteration, generally, is the repetition of a beginning sound (a constanant beginning sound usually} that occurs close enough to each other to catch the eye and ear... in order to enhance emotion... Article Source: EzineArticles.com/115582And those lyrics you posted are really beautiful. Isn't it more assonance than alliteration?

I know that my Target sold all it had on the Pop L spot in the music aisle, and for about a week there was nothing in his spot. Then his spot was refilled and he also had some in a more prestigious front spot. Maybe these were from original shipment and were just in the back in storage. I know it would not make a lot of sense to restock given sales.

National, I had to look up assonance. I'm googling my ass off tonight. as·so·nance/ˈasənəns/Noun: In poetry, the repetition of the sound of a vowel or diphthong in nonrhyming stressed syllables (e.g., penitence, reticence). Yep :D You're right. Thanks for correcting me, you hot, gorgeous, twirly girl

Two of my favorite non-Adam artists-- James Taylor and Yo Yo Ma. "Here omes the sun Here comes the sun I say, it's all right. It's all right."and here they are talking aobut it, working it out.. I love this behind the scenes look at the process of creating something new out of something old. One summer, twenty years ago, my sister and best friend, six years older than me, became very ill with lupus and some other difficulties. She was in a lot of pain, and so I pretty much spent each day at her house with my youngest, a baby at the time. She would ask me to play James Taylor over and over again. At the time, it got very old having JT on repeat literally 8 hours a day for 2 months, but she told me it calmed her and made her feel better, so I obliged. Now I completely understand it! My sister responds to James Taylor the way I respond to Adam. Whenever I hear his music, it always reminds me of that time.

Hi all, I've been lurking here for a couple of months. Really love this site. I have to register and de-lurk today as I am so concerned with the current state of Adam's career. It may sound weird to you but I am more worried about his career than mine. Instead of sending my job application around I am sitting here wondering how Adam can boost the CD sales

Trespassing gets restocked in the big 3 US retailers (Walmart, Target and Best Buy) all the time -- that is not news.
The Best Buy report earlier in the thread is different -- it is a report that in one Best Buy location Trespassing was remerchandised and the number of facings the album has was increased substantially that that Trespassing had an entire row in a rack. That is a very different matter.
It could be nothing. (Particularly if it is just one location.)
It could be that RCA is making retail deals.
It could be some other kind of promotion.

Another point on the remix thing... A good remix is another way to get your music placed in film/media if the remix fits the movie better than the single, so that is another way an artist can make money from a remix. (the original artist, not the remixer, alas) My son had a remix he did for a group named Yacht placed in recent- ish movie called Project X. Since MWP reminded me it is off the grid day, I'll post a link here. I've forgotten how to embed. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgnDRJk0Qxo&feature=youtube_gdata_playerMWP: I'll find a link to the Gossip remix. He makes a kind of chill type of indie hipster dance music called nu-disco which is kind of the antithesis of dub step, lol. It is often referred to as summer pool music as well. Listen past the first 30 seconds or so which is just the intro beat for a DJ mix to transition between songs Okay, here is the link www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHxUZe_Wguk&feature=youtube_gdata_playerLynne, you son did a fantastic job with this; I really like it. Went to Itunes, but I couldn't find it. Will it be on Itunes soon? ETA: Had to fix the typo -- song to son. I don't think it has been released yet, but you can get it from CLASSIXX sound cloud here soundcloud.com/classixx/gossip-move-in-the-right
