I like Jane Campion's movies very much. Thanks for reminding me that I have the Piano soundtrack CD which would be excellent voting music. Although lately the olympics have provided entertainment in that regard. Especially different sailing events are very easy to follow when clicking.

I had to consider the relevance of this find...so corny and over the top I was turned off....but there is the Adam mention and I guess any news on a slow day is news. If already posted yesterday ...just let me know and I will delete it.

Adam mention is at 5:37. He is #2. That part is cute! His criteria, "tight pants!" Oh ya!!

Hmmm, don't I recall that this guy (Michael Buckley) knows Adam and that Michael and Neil did a video together when Neil lived in New York. I think they were just sitting there talking in Neil's apartment ... and then in a booth somewhere.

Mys*&@^#r - I rewatched the Idolatry interviews, but had not seen the Realite interviews before. Thanks for posting them. Adam has to be the dream subject for reporters... so articulate - and patience of a saint.
It's been fun watching old performances and interviews today, but seeing so many at a time, it's really hit home to me how he's really worked his ass off these last 3 1/2 years. We get cranky if don't have new "news" almost every day, but I think we have tons of stuff to look at/listen to because of all his efforts. And thanks to folks like our own 4Ms, it's archived for us to pick and choose. If I were a "new" fan I don't know if I could handle it all! Though what a way to go...Read more: atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=daily&action=display&thread=1054&page=17#ixzz22ay42PK2Evergreen posted this at the end of yesterday's thread and I had to bring it over to say how much I agree with it !

Bringing this over from Brian's Soapbox. He is specificlaly addressing old VHS concerts being put on DVD. But it does give you a glimpse into his perfectionism and maybe when or if ever we might get the Hammersmith concerts on DVD! [In reply to question whether 70s concerts could be made available on DVD - see LETTERS]
... It's not that simple.
I suppose it would be fine if we just shoved the contents of an old VHS video on a DVD, but everybody would immediately complain about the lack of quality.
Instead, our guys regard each possible new DVD as a challenge … and they spend many months on each one, researching the best undiscovered sources, compiling, repairing, restoring - sound and vision - and the result is always something very special.
Currently Budapest is nearly finished, but the Rainbow concerts are in the works too. I don't know what you mean by 'second time' for the Budapest show … it's certainly never been officially on DVD before, because we had to buy the rights and buy the actually film in order to make this DVD.
The simple answer is … we can only do so much.
But thanks for asking. We also think some of the early concerts are interesting to reclaim.
cheers
Bri
