Idol doesn't need Randy for continuity...Adam will provide it with his Idol pedigree and popularity. He'll also fill the Simon chair with something that's been noticeably missing: bitingly humorous, on-point criticism that people talk about afterward. Delivered, of course, with Adam's charm. And, he'll bring back Paula's natural warmth and empathy, and be a sympathetic champion of the contestants. Really, he's got it all in one fun, glam package. I'm still feeling 100% sure this is happening. Another reason for them to choose Adam. He is perfect for the continuity of the show! I just want to know, one way or the other. I hope there is an announcement within the next few days. |

I think you need a cable subscription to access it though. |

I will be totally shocked if Bowie sings today. That rumor has been flying around for a couple of weeks. Many people would be pleased to see him, including me.

I WILL BE PUTTING UP A SEPARATE CLOSING CEREMONY THREAD TODAY FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO COMMENT ON THE LIVE EVENT. THAT WAY MEMBERS WHO DO NOT WANT SPOILERS AND WHO WANT TO WAIT FOR NBC'S LIVE BROADCAST CAN AVOID COMMENTS.
