I've always thought he would perform. I mentioned a book he has coming out in fall and I really think he is the only person who would would be that highly anticipated. Stones? Nah, been there, not that surprising. Pink Floyd reuniting the always feuding Roger Waters and Dave Gilmour? Already did that last summer. George Michael? That's already been confirmed and although he's much beloved in UK and hasn't performed, still not quite special *enough.* Led Zep? The only way that would be surprising is if John Paul Jones played on bass, since they have been feuding for decades, but he doesn't have the name recognition that people would know about (and as everyone knows they broke up with death of Bonham).

Gotta be Bowie as surprise guest. Fingers crossed.

ETA: I mean when announcers were saying someone coming up who "hasn't performed live in a long time." Still, big surprises I'm sure of it.
