Hi! I was away most of yesterday and tuned in when Queen and JJ were performing but didn't get to see the Freddie tribute part. Did we get a video of it because I didn't see one? If someone has it could you please post it? I read a tweet somebody here posted that said something on the lines of...'What is JJ trying to do, channel her Adam Lambert?' I was thinking the same thing during parts of her performance. lol I like JJ but I just didn't think it worked with Queen. Brian and Roger were amazing and had the most energy of anybody I was able to watch on the show. Too bad that 'Rock Royalty' didn't get to close the show.
I sure hope Adam and Queen do some more shows together. It would be sad if people all over the world didn't get a chance to see them together live!
ETA:
Maybe, Talon, you can give us a feel of how Queen fans liked the Olympic performance.

As someone who's seen three of the six shows I wish that EVERYBODY could see them at least once live. BUT: Right now, I want Adam to do something that promotes his album and his career. QUEEN didn't to much in that regard. It gave him cred but no extra sales. So whatever he has planned, I hope it's something BIG FOR HIM!! On an OT note: Can somebody tell me what Brian's tattoo from p.1 says? SURVNOR? ETA: lol Forget it. I looked at it again and now I can see clearly. SURVIVOR! 8-) |

I'll be a very happy man when this Idol talk is over Me too. I started to feel better after Adam said he would work on some "stuff" in September. It could be Idol, it could be anything else, but I am sure something is going on, and 1- that "stuff", I believe, is related to promoting either his new single or the whole album, or both and 2- that "stuff" is different from what we've known so far (because what we've known so far that help to promote his single or CD, such as concerte, radio visits, or TV appearances, music videos are never secrets. these thoughts put me in a better place. What I can think of, if not AI, that will make me happy, is Adam to be in a TV commercial of some high profile and popular product and the new single is used in this commercial. I can trade that for the idol gig..... 8-) |
