IDK if it means anything but in the Australian interview she mentioned that she saw on twitter that Adam recommended Chokehold for 50 shades of gray. Maybe the interview was taped around July 27: twitter.com/adamlambert/status/228918621731188736Before his perf. at Winstar ... You are a good sleuth!!

If they truly respect Adams unique talent and are for Adam, they can, at the very least, abstain from promoting reviews that further disrespectful stereotypes.

The interview assumes that Mariah will be on the panel.

I didn't even know it was a horrible diss until I read here that it was. :-/ In recent times, gay men have been likened to women--ie, unmanly, effeminate, etc. Calling a gay male a "castrato" is not simply a musical term, but an insult, esp given our misogyny; I doubt that anyone ever described Matt Bellamy, who sings as high as Adam, but is straight, as a "castrato." Having said that, it was a great review outside of that reference. I can't blame Queen for linking to it. I couldn't resist. I googled Matt Bellamy and castrato and tons of references came up. Praising him and his voice. I thought the review was really good and that the writer was complimenting Adam for his amazing, special, otherworldly voice. My two cents.

They just linked to a very positive review which also happened to refer to a negative stereotype. I really can't blame them.

Personally, I'd like to see something about radio play (or lack thereof) trend.... Now that would be bad, IMO!!

My two cents. lol I did the same, and the coolest reference I found was to Bellamy's "gothic castrato" vocals :D Thank you!

I mean, Adam is not, but as such it is not an insult me. There are many kind on people: effeminate, masculine, androgyne, gays, straight, men, women, something in between...All is good!

Or maybe the tweet is just something that stuck in her mind and she wanted to bring it up? Who knows. Basically, I think it's between Nick Jonas and Adam for the "pop voice" on the panel (that is if Adam is truly being considered---I am so confused right now.) The only thing left giving me some hope at the moment is that statement Adam made at one of his concerts about being back in the area again soon. Anybody know where to find this?
