Is anyone else seeing a lot of Chokehold - theme in this episode?
Cheeks was always totally silent about his relationship with Adam and certainly did not behave publicly like the character dramatized here for comedic effect, but obviously Adam and he both work out the same theme in their art. Hmmm?

They would not have to fly him out to meet him. They know him better than any of us do. I presume that all conversation, if it is happening, is purposely triangulated via his management at this point. And I don't think he ever denied it.
In the interview, he just said, if it were offered to him....that is different.
I have my chip still on he has it, even though the recent mentions were not quite as encouraging. Everything else just does not add up.
We'll find out sooner or later.

Go back a few pages and listen to Adam and the Aussie interview. Adam has said a number of times when Asked about Idol,that he was not contacted by them. Both Pharell and is it Joe Jonas? said they were contacted,close to signing,etc. I read that Pharell will be at the Idol auditions. Adam keeps saying he's open to being a judge if Idol offers the job to him. So I've gone from Yay he has it to.. I would rather he sing than judge anyway.. When did Phaerrell ever sya he was contacted? All I saw was all heresay by his "associates" Pharrell has never said anything about Idol -- there is one unnamed associate of Pharrell who was reported as saying that Pharrell schedule was clear so he could attend the Idol auditions. Some people believe that a comment was twisted -- Just like if I said Adam's schedule is clear in September so that he could be at the Idol auditions. This may be a game of telephone. --- I put together a detailed timeline of the Adam Idol rumors and comments -- but it is real simple. July 9, E! News says that a source (believed to be a FOX) tells them that Adam is being considered as an Idol Judge. July 9 Adam responds: NOTE HE NEVER HE WAS NOT CONTACTED, he just says that IF he was. He just says it was the first he heard of the rumor. In mid-July there are two reports from "sources" that discussions between Adam and Idol were in the early stages. July 20, 2012: The Edge Interview - DJ says even though the Idol rumor is gone, Adam is surprised, asked where it went and said it could happen. ** IF there are discussion about Adam being on Idol, he is probably not part of the discussion at all. DMG would do that. I have to listen to the AU interviews, but excluding that, if you look at what Adam has said, he has never said that the rumor is false or the there are no discussions with Idol. >> Off to listen to the AU interview to see if I need to amend this post. ETA: Adam does not have to fly to LA to meet, he occasionally lives there. |

There WILL be something, the calendar is not as blank as we see. Adam's confirmed that he will work on some "stuff" in September, he just denied to call it a job. As the "stuff" needs to be kept in secret now, we can't see it in his calendar yet. So I stay positive, Idol or not. I am just unable to think of anything else other than Idol. TV appearances, concerts, music video are never secrets. What can that "stuff" be???? The new TV schedule starts in Sept so he could very well be doing all the major talk shows. But, IMO, no one offs, is surprising. I'm not trying to raise my hope or anyone's, but he mentioned this stuff that he wants to do in front of Japanese fans and said to look for it. It means International fans will be able to enjoy this stuff too .. who knows ??? |

The first time I listened I thought, "Oh no, he's never even been approached " :( But I listened again and thought maybe he means he hasn't been offered.
