How was the Fiat-and-Ford problem related to JLo solved before, any one knows?

1) ...... 3) Back to idol: Is it possible that idol negotiated with NM management and they got to beginning of August and only once the lawyers got involved to get the contract finalized, did they realize 'oh shit' we have a Coke - Pepsi size problem? If that happened, then they would be idiots on both side to go that far without checking sponsorship agreements, but it would explain why we have such a long delay between MC announcement and the rest getting sorted out. Perhaps the Shirley Halperin article was more about making this dilemma public, because now that the NM tour is already cancelled and the delay for AI judges announcement is inevitable, they are forced to back-paddle and regroup on tons of levels. What that means for Adam - I have no idea anymore. I think his prospects are slim, but still existing, everything else has been said. ASSUMING that the rumors are true and Nicki is in final negotiations with Idol..... It is not possible the the Coke-Pepsi conflict was know not IDed long before they talked to NM's people. BUT JoLo also had a contract with Pepsi and did Idol. ETA: Typo fixed.

That's why I think if NM gets it, Idol will not need Adam on the panel. She will represent the fresh, young, edgy, what-will-she-do-next judge. If they get RM, that would cover the gay and Latino factor. I hope I'm wrong. :-/ Idol is not getting Ricky Martin -- he is under contract to NBC/Universal for a new primetime series. >> Of course, I can't figure out how NM can solve the Pepsi problem. But IF NM is on Idol, Coke and Pepsi both have brand issues. Ya, that is my only glitch in the Idol thing for her. That's a big problem, but somehow JLo got to do FIAT while she worked on a show heavily funded by FORD. So, it can be worked out, I guess. LOL! She even had the WTF moment at the season 10 finale with the Fiat on stage with her! :4OMG:

It is not possible the the Coke-Pepsi conflict was know IDed long before they talked to NM's people. Would you mind clarifying that statement, please. Do you mean that screw-up could have happened or could not have happened? Somehow an unintended knot or not or know got into that sentence. Is it possible that they assumed they could just follow into the JLo footsteps and now Coke is barking at this (rightfully so, btw). Also, do you or anyone know what happened in the JLo case? Did she have to give up her Pepsi sponsorship to do idol and was there a buyout of her contract? Was the sponsorship conflict made public prior to announcing her announcement as a judge, like it was now? Thanks

Regarding the show that is no longer on my DVR recording list: Once upon a time, oh, say about 3.5 years ago, there was a certain musical theater dude, slash club kid, slash classically trained vocalist, slash aspiring pop star who, out of boredom/desperation decided to go for a very long shot and audition for the biggest show on American TV. The result was some of the best television of the season, or of all seasons. For those of us who enjoy nostalgic revisits to such a time of discovery of an amazing artist, and for those who missed it the first time around, I have a link that still works! Go to: www.tudou.com/programs/view/kaL3vsmkBzM/for a complete compilation of Adam Lambert's performances there. So far, from what I have viewed, they are complete and high quality. Runs 110 minutes. So good! ETA: I just got a little paranoid that by publishing the link here someone from the a fore mentioned television show might lurk on ATop, read about the link, and somehow manage to get it taken down. Should I delete it, and just send it out in PMs?
