I see what you mean. So perhaps all the bitching grouching about it came when sales/radio play didn't take off and because of the weird timing of the release. I just know that I read a lot of negative comments at the time. Maybe on other sites as well. Still seems like a bit of revisionist history to me now. :-/ The bitching about the song came when we heard Cuckoo and Trespassing! Then many of us wondered, "Huh? Why was BTIKM the first single?"

As I remember, not all of the songs on TP were ready to go when they released BTIKM as the 1st single. And there was some speculation that they rushed to release a 1st single to diffuse the BFM thing. Also, so may fans were begging for a single.

[/IMG] In summary, the scores for the new single will look like
Sales: Lowest score (compared to BTIKM and NCOE)
Hit score: Lowest
PD rating: ??? you tell me where this score maybe
Request: the sameIf you are referring to this: The song isn't going to become a hit due to the Glamberts. If it becmes a hit and a big seller it will be because radio put it in high rotation and new fans bought it. Just like WWFM. That came out with the album. And IIHY didn't sell 900K to Glamberts either. We all already had it. It was the spins in big markets, like Z100's that got it the jumpstart. All, Trespassing needs is a big station like Z to jump on board, or a ton of smaller stations (yes, that can work too.) If we use your reasoning, there's no sense in releasing anymore new singles because his fans already have them. :-/
Has this article been posted yet by Renee Snyder? entertainment.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474981562425"By now, Adam's fans have learned that good things come to those who wait. Of course, waiting proves to be very difficult. The good news is that some people are already rallying the troops for when the single does drop. In an effort to ensure radio play, Adam Storm Trespassing is organizing for a mass buying of the song on iTunes. They state, "Ranking at iTunes is one essential measure that Radio uses to develop their Playlists... High ranking at iTunes = Radio play = Charting high at Billboard = Smash Hit = Buzz = Sales = Award Shows = More Sales! It's an upward spiral!" Therefore, they will create a PayPal account for International fans and U.S. fans that do not have an iTunes Account to contribute to the sales on U.S. iTunes. Adam's fans have had success in the past in getting him high on charts after his releases, so this time should be no different." adamlambertstorm.com/

Can someone remind me how many singles GaGa released before one "hit" with a huge following.....I think it was 4 maybe 5. I still think PTL is the one that's going to blow the lid off. I really don't care if Adam wrote it or not. He's already received his critical acclaim -- now I just want the radio play. For some reason, radio play seems to be important for the next BIG step.

I agree that PTL has hit potential along with Shady.

Her first single was a #1 hit -- Just Dance was released in the US April 8, 2008, it first was a Dance Club hit (peaked at #2 on the Dance/Club Play chart August 2008. It then climbed up the Pop chart and was #1 on the BB Hot 100 on January 17, 2009.
