Not to change the subject (oh who am I kidding, l totally want to change the subject!) why isn't there more talk about the justify my pants pic??? did I miss it? That picture is stunning. Amazing. Really intimate. Not to mention clever, with the Madonna reference. It is absolutely my new favorite, from the hoody covering his hair to the mile long shiny legs down to the bare toes. I love the composition. It's perfect! I haven't talked or squeeed about it because it doesn't look like Adam to me. Hard for me to get excited about something that doesn't even look like him. :-/ I'm not feeling the truth of that shot either - mouth doesn't look right. Just something ........it's too professional, or something.

Hopefully the next Adam single will fit US Pop Radio. Listening the 10 tracks left on the CD (it will not be a bonus track), and forgetting what I like because my taste does not matter, here's my ranking of Pop-ability -- the % is my odds on each track being the next single -- JMHO: 45% Cuckoo (pure pop, solid hook, simple, right beat, production would fit pop radio, not retro, would fit with Pop and HAC radio) 25% Trespassing (much better live then recorded IMHO, seems like Adam's pick, what radio format? I gave it 25% because IF they have a way to promo this song without radio, I think it could be a hit. Just can't see it fitting with current Pop radio or HAC.) 20% Naked Love (extra points because Adam did not write it and RCA has picked all non-Adam songs for his singles, fits radio but generic on the studio version, better live then recorded, would fit with Pop and HAC radio -- but there are many songs like it.) 5% Kickin' In, Pop the Lock (like a lot of this album -- so much better live! 3% Shady, Chokehold (great album tracks that have no radio home. What station would really support either of these two songs?) 1% Outlaws of Love, Broken English (my fav track on the album is BE and it would have been a megahit in 1988.) <1% odds: Underneath The problem with these calculations, as I see it, is that Adam does not 'fit' US pop and these sorts of choices have not worked so far, with this album. Perhaps it is time to go with what people like rather than what we 'think' is radio friendly. Radio is not 'friendly'. It is a bully. You can only win with bullies when you challenge them, or decorate their a## with gold. Where would 'Rolling in the Deep' have fit re pop radio...? I think "calculation" is too grand of a term. Think of them as my numerical illustrations. RITD fit AAA and HAC radio -- so it had two formats to prove that people what to hear it. It was #1 on HAC before it was #1 on the Pop chart. -- Adam wants a Pop (CHR) radio hit. Not my goal, his. So if they pick a song that won't get radio airplay easily, they need an alternate promo route to get the massive radio airplay needed to be a Pop hit. I do not think Cuckoo is similar to either NCOE or BTIKM. It is a much better pop tracks. JMHO. With corporate radio, and with PeopleMeters + Radio Playlist Optimization, PDs know what song hold an audience and which song make them switch off. Sure RCA can pick a single that does not fit any radio format, and Adam can ignore what is popular with radio audiences, but how will anyone find out about the music? At this point Adam needs radio, radio does not need Adam (or almost any other artist). Pop radio -- Contemporary Hits Radio -- is based on playing hits. To have a radio hit, Adam has two paths -- HAC hit that crosses over to Top 40/CHR or push a song straight to Top 40/CHR. BTIKM -- was a HAC song that did not go high enough up the HAC airplay chart to cross over to Top 40/CRH. NCOE -- was pushed heavily to Top 40/CHR but could not break into the Top 40. But it got enough airplay in major markets to provide a ton of data. (We do not get to see it but I would love to have access to the PM data!) Finally, radio PDs are not "bullies". For the most part they are people doing a really hard job to deliver an audience -- and fighting for every rating point.

So that translates to a little over $2 million US for the Moscow show. Very nice!

an article on the takes of the concerts in Moscow: Queenbert is on page 3, the numbera are in rubles: money.ru.msn.com/reviews/calc/253071/3/#titlean online converter gave me $2,038,950.73 from the July 3rd concert. They are saying that the ticket sales were huge right after the concert was announced. they were getting calls from China, Hong Kong, Argentina, France" - according to the promoters. The sales fell deeply after the date was changed but it skyrocketed again roght before the concert. P.S. the number represents the gross of tickets sold. they are listing the 10 most profitable concerts in Moscow for this year. Awesome!! So Q+AL was #6!! I am sure Poland was at least the same. Yes, Adam definitely can afford that gorgeous vacation to Cabo!

.. Said OMG send just walked up hugged him and said welcome to Aust .. he looked tired and makeup free. But was still s next MOB.

What station would really support either of these two songs?) 1% Outlaws of Love, Broken English (my fav track on the album is BE and it would have been a megahit in 1988.) <1% odds: Underneath Fun party songs with a current beat are very popular. And given that Cuckoo & Trespassing are in the PLL episode, my bet for the next single is on one of these two. My question is, if they used some of the footage from PLL in the single's video, would it more likely be for Cuckoo or Trespassing? My bet is on Cuckoo. In that case, would they let Adam release a music video with clips from the PLL episode before the episode airs or would they want it to be afterwards? And would this have any consideration in the choosing of the next single? Great points all round. I think it is a really good bet that the new single is either Cuckoo or Trespassing. PLL + the fact that RCA shopped 4 tracks around for single #2 + RCA researched 4 tracks for single #2. > The 3 tracks considered are Trespassing, Cuckoo and Naked Love. > Trespassing and Cuckoo are in PLL. > Trespassing was the lead track on Adam's promo in Japan. > Cuckoo is a fun, party, escapist song which is what is really popular now. (In the 1930's "Life is just a bowl of cherries" was a mega hit. Similar times.) I do not think there are any real contenders for single #3. Regarding PLL -- not only would using some of the footage from PLL make sense for the video, it would be a great promo for the series. Adam gets a high quality video, PLL gets a promo, it targets the right audience, and RCA/Adam save money on video production. Looks like a win-win-win-win-win. And makes me think the single must be either Trespassing or Cuckoo. (FINALLY an Adam co-written single!) So it leave me with Cuckoo or Trespassing or Trespassing or Cuckoo. > Did "FLY" mean Cuckoo like a bird? Or freedom like Trespassing?? Hopefully we will know soon. **** Whatever else, Single #3 or Single #4 will have to be written by AFL!!
