So don't think Fox will pick Kravitz I agree, they won't have three African American judges. TPTB barely let black singers through to the top 24. :  Unless they are going to go for an entirely different viewer demographic in a big time way, I don't see this happening. LOL at Mariah pimping her friends! She is just as ready as we are for AI to make up their damn minds and move on with it! |

I know these words are being used in the metaphorical sense, straight jacket is especially obvious in the regard, nonetheless it bothers me a little bit. I am not bothered a lot, but I am a little. I do have some mental issues going on in my family, so maybe I am over sensitive because of this. Perhaps it is a bit personal to you. I tend to the "way to analytically side" but, anyway I look at it, Cuckoo is far more than a meaningless party song. If we heavily analyze lyrics, everything is objectionable -- look at Firework: Do you ever feel like a plastic bag

Strait verses Straight. Who knew? Straitjacket vs. straight jacket. Well I certainly learned something tonight. Setting that aside -- if you have viewed Cuckoo as a harmless pop track (which it is disguised as), check out the lyrics.... Feels like I’m having a meltdown

Thanks for posting, 4msrmyn! I belong to a book group that predates Oprah's and I know all of the women very well. Of course the subject of 50 Shades of Grey came up. One friend was really surprised by how she devoured all three books and was left wanting more. I "outed" myself as a fan fic reader. Actually, I said I used to read it a lot a couple of years ago (Kradam, anyone?) I tried to explain it and told them that 50 Shades started that way. Anyway, I have already emailed a copy of this article to her. It explains fan fic better than I did. I'm tempted to ask her if she wants to read a Kradam. There are a couple that were very well written and funny, too. I don't know if she'd be ready for the guy on guy thing yet. She is a casual Adam fan and bought tickets for his 2 Costa Mesa shows in 2010 and the one this year also, all before I even had a chance to tell her he was performing. So....maybe. On the other hand, she might think I've gone Cuckoo!! ;D |

I think when he first explained Cuckoo he said during GNT with the pressure of the concert schedules, he sometimes felt like his head/brain's cracked .. that's explain the first part of the song.. If NM gets added to the judging I'm still thinking Adam is their guy or at least one of them. Next to the two Diva's he'll be so normal, lol. And since NM would seem to put Randy out for sure then Adam would be the connection to the past. Need to have someone who knows if a song has been sung 100 times before on the show. I'm fine with Adam not being the lightning rod especially as my hope is for him to be able to show the world his not so OTTness. He'd love being on with the two of them and he wouldn't do the oneupmanship that Adam Levine pulls over Christina on the Voice.

It appears in the totally buzzless topic of who will judge Idol, they have not decided.
News buzz for this story is amazingly low. NM rumor got far fewer PR mentions than Adam. (And my interest in Idol is totally ADAM-Centric)
No knock to NM, but Idol just needs to figure this out. BORING!!

Setting that aside -- look at the remaining 3 possible single tracks -- Trespassing, Cuckoo and NL -- performed by Adam, all are gay themed. Finally, RCA will be forced to release a "gay" song maybe even co-written by a gay artist!
ETA: Jablea ITA -- Mariah, Nickie, Adam and some white country dude and I am watching Idol again.
