I am sorta surprised fans are so "stingy" during Naked Love performances. Adam has clearly stated what he wants during the song. I fully intend to be prepared when Adam wants me to give back the naked love he has given me. Keep in mind, I am in my 40s, an understated woman who, regardless of whether she looses those extra15 lbs, isn't gonna change the damage done by carrying twins (each who weighted over 7lbs). So no, this is not like me. But Adam is just asking us to shed our armor and be comfortable in our own skin. So, everybody: I suggest you stop looking for the neon yellow shoes and go shopping for something like this. Imagine the beauty of a sea of joyful people waving their tops in the air to the "oh, oh, oh"s of Naked Love. The new Radio Gaga type fan participation. I think Adam would love it! (sorry, failed at posting the picture) www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/landingpages/candies_new/juniors/intimates/bras/PRD~1012889/Candies+Maya+Animal+Balconette+PushUp+Bra.jsp yeah, I'm a free spirit and in pretty damn good shape but I'm not taking my shirt off in a concert.

This is the third time I've seen Adam live and each time I have come away with an unconscious gift from him - just human being to human being. And so it seems, he was singing about love in all its forms, and we continue this beautiful love-exchange with him in all its forms. And I suspect many of us, including myself, fall in love with him over and over again. Oh, Nikki, I fell a little bit in love with you, for the unconscious gift of your words. The medium is irrelevant, whether it is words, music, images, but when it manages to capture the sublimeness of human bonds, it inevitably leads to love, I guess. Adam to you, you to me, and here's me giving a little bit of it back to you; Adam doesn't have to get it all, does he; ) That's how the symbol of infinity keeps running, you just have to join the circle, take a drink from its well. It's an enlightning experience. Yesterday, after hearing Is This Love and later Trespassing, I felt the enormous need and impulse to write about it, to release all the emotions it awakened in me, to just do something. I was a bit frantic. But, alas, as Gelly said, I couldn't find any words or gifs that would rise to the occasion. They all felt so inadequate and insufficient. When the frustration of it wore off, I suddenly realised that it didn't matter, that what I should really do is pass it on. Pass the love on further to family, friends, to anyone "willing and able". To myself, as well. That's what should be done to make the best out of Adam's love-exchange with us and keep the shaman happy and proud, I thinkYou are Saying that your words rose to the occasion is an understatement of gruelling proportions. Thank you for your gift. Thank you for keeping the exchange going. I'll show my immense gratitude to Adam for enveloping me with this all-encompassing, all-embracing blanket of love by snapping out of my self-centred, I-don't-want-to-get-hurt-so-I-better-just-keep-the-wall-up mode. He is taking down my wall, brick by brick. How on earth do you thank someone for that??? He doesn't even know, he can't possibly know, the enormous scope of his impact. But the person next to me can feel the aftermath of it. No need to thank, just love. Thank you both for putting into words I could never possibly find to express the feelings I have and the sharing of love I have found a way to do. Beautiful words indeed. ♥♥

mika - it is so wonderful that you can "promote" Adam for your group of readers. What I, however, get puzzled about is the differentiation between the covers Adam does and his own songs as far as the genre labeling is concerned. For instance I don't understand why this cover is "accepted" (aside from the Bob Marley name attached to it) and BTR is dismissed. Or why Dragon Attack and AOBTD is accepted (aside from Queen parentage) but TP is not. and on and on and on.... Speaking for this particular group - and prob therefore a subset of contemporary music followers - the honest answer is that there is a lot of music out there competing for their attn and they just don't find the songs on Trespassing compelling on first listen. (I do think some of them are supporting or will the club play/dance cuts - NCOE, Kickin In, Shady (def not Naked Love) but that's more casual for most of them. Re covers of classic songs - it pays to remember that these are songs that have stood the test of time -- and if you compare them even to all songs released by the artists (like Bob Marley and Queen) it's a small percentage of the artists' lifetime 'catalog' that non-hard core fans still recognize and listen to. From another angle (and I've been beating this drum for a while so.. sorry to repeat), lots of music types and you tube-ers, love to collect and pass around one off or strictly performance covers. In my mainstream (def. non Idol) music news feeds, Kelly Clarkson's concert covers have gotten more than a few mentions - by people who aren't ever going to a KC concert. She covers Eminem and people are interested - it wasn't very good but it still got passed around a lot. I understand that Adam was cover-avoidant following Idol - understandably - and, truly, even if he were to go viral with a cover it wouldn't translate into album/single sales - but it does help anchor him in the consciouness of music listeners in for the long haul and gives wider exposure of the depth and diversity of his talent. Esp if he adds more contemporary covers - because he's a brilliant interpreter of songs - as he knows. Or mash ups - I once suggested TP and Eminem's 'I'm Not Afraid' because it would be provocative, interesting. Or even 'sampling' another song's hook - like he did w/ Crystal Waters with fantastic result. (I don't think it would be a good idea for 'going viral' but if Adam wanted to do me a personal favor , I'm on the look out for a decent male vocal cover of 'Shake It Out' with a more stripped arrangement - i like Flo. & the Machine a lot but (for me) she buries a lyrically rich, dark song there under her high, trilly, neo celtic vocals and lots of prod.) ETA: I'm on the run to mtgs with iPad and see people have addressed this but will post for another FWIW entry
