I didn't say it was a big deal, just commenting on what I think are petty remarks on twitter it's the same type of things that are discussed about other celebrities. an observation is an observation. give me a hint of what you think people should be talking about on twitter. Perhaps people shouldn't make nasty petty remarks about people whom they don't know, on twitter or elsewhere and I don't want to speak for lindy but I got the impression that that was the point she was trying to make. Just because twitter is annonymous doesn't mean people should say whatever the hell they want just because they feel like they "own" some part of the celebrity they are talking about. it's rude and immature and sadly it seems the most frequent and worst offenders are women who should be old enough to know better.

The music industry and radio is so confusing. I wish it has rules like sports so one would know which way is up. Thanks Q3 for the information that you provide. The advertisers are the customers and the audience is the product. To me that makes radio like retail. In order to get more product to sell what the advertiser's add, then the radio program must provide the stock that the audience want to listen to. It like every retail clothing outlet selling what "in" because they know that is would people will buy. It doesn't matter if it's good. It only matters that the customer keep buying or in radio terms that the listeners keep tuning in.
I think every PD and the industry knows that most of what is on the radio is not musical artistry. It's catchy. It's has a good hook and you can dance to it. I read a lot of Britney reviews on her new album today. Many of the reviewers did say that this is one of Britney's best albums. However, most of the reviewers acknowledge that it has little to do with Britney. They know that this album is a product of engineered, production and that Britney is just the face of this engineered production. Britney has no writing credits. The album does not reflect anyting about Britney, what she is, or how she thinks. It's brainless. However, with the Britney brand and the catchy production, they know this will appeal to the audience. Many reviewers have even acknowledge that the voice on the album could be anybody. In fact it could be a totally virtual engineered voice. The tunes will sell themselves because Britney is on the album cover.
How does this tie in to Adam? Adam would be crucified if Adam #2 was modeled after Femme Fatale. In fact, most of the criticism of Adam #1 was on too much production. Ok, Britney is established so she gets a lot of leeway. Adam can sing, so he is expected to actually create an album with relevant lyrics and great singing. However, the lyrics must be mainstream, cannot reflect too much of his sexuality, and must still somehow fit into the music scene that is currently reflected on Top 40 radio. In short, tie his hands behind his back, jump on one foot, and singing like a nightingale with lyrics that resonate with mainstream American and the rest of the world.
All that being said, this is why it is so important for Adam to just follow his instincts and do what he does. This is why he has to just put his blinders on, ignore the BS and keep his eye on the prize. It's crazy out there, but he knows who he is and that all he can do. That is all he will ever have to do.
