A lot of Nicki's image is just that. I became a fan of Nicki the person after seeing her on Ellen with the little British girls. She was so sweet with the girls. She got down on their level and was genuinely interested. She can actually sing, which I was surprised. You here her sing acapela towards the end. Many of you may have already seen this.
I think Idol is smart to have 4 artists who are actually vocalist.

I have been side-eying everyone about the AI speculation all along. It's easy to read what you want to out of stuff, and an empty schedule just wasn't enough for me. And it has taken a long time for me to even accept the fact that the exposure is worth giving up my hope that he could shake the Idol association. But last night changed that. Renya's (?) Tweet confirming there are performances coming up did it for me. I can't come up with any other reason the would have performances lined up that they would keep secret. And the Idol follow...he knew we would freak at. Unless he and Shosh are trying to impress Idol with the buzz he can create (and I cannot believe Idol would make such huge plans at the last minute.) then maybe this is Adam's way of saying something without saying something. I am now allowing myself to picture the introduction they will give him. They will make him sound as successful as they can, for his success is their success. And you can bet they will highlight Q+AL. I totally hope they have the judges sing like xfactor does because, really, that would be thd hardest part-having him there but not singing. Course he will make the contestance look bad but it's all about ratings right? And the best part is that if the public gets to know Adam they will fall in love with him. They will realize that despite their ignorant assumptions based on him not filling mainstream male role expectations, that he is normal, glowing with love and undenyably sexy. Course the haters will be on full force but he will impress the millions of viewers. Can you tell I am bubbling over with surpressed sqeeeeeeeee? So looks like they will do some one off concerts in October. When they fly to Australia, they could easily do some more events. ETA: Add to the clues about Idol column -- Katy Perry's management was in talks with Idol about being a judge in early July. Now TMZ says Idol tried to get her for a long time -- that means they were talking to DMG. Makes it really possible that DMG and Idol started talking about the possibility of one of their either clients being an Idol judge. The Adam rumor broke on July 9, 2012 -- so the timing works. |

Wouldn't Adam fans already be watching Idol since that's where they discovered him? Nope! Watched every year through season 8 and soooooooooo disillusioned with Adam's loss that except when Adam has performed, haven't watched since. But I'll surely be back if he's a judge ;D Ditto! We had watched every season through season 8. I know many Idol fans, not just Adam fans, lost faith in the voting system. It was never more clear that the most talented didn't win. The press was equally confused and upset about the outcome. It would have been much worse had Adam not tapped down the rumors IMO. Adam could have played the victim and the fans and press would have been behind him. He spent much of his early promo saying how talented KA was and it didn't matter. He was Idols biggest cheerleader. It hasn't helped that every contestant since has paled in comparison to Adam (In my eyes). I am a fan of the show and hope he can bring some of the magic back. I don't know if Adam can bring it back without a drastic change in the voting system, which I don't see happening. |

Happy dance because as I stated I think Adam should focus elsewhere. But that is called my opinion. Yes it differs from others. But I am getting the feeling that any differing opinion from the majority is not welcome here. Truth be told I think Adam is way better than that tv show American Idol. There I said it. AI is a lot of exposure. I don't think that we can even necessarily tell the possible impact of him being in AI again based on how it has impacted the careers of other judges. He is not the same as they are. He used Idol on the first round to get pretty far, by being smart and so amazingly talented. That is what he did with that exposure. Who knows what he can do with the second round. Or whatever he is going to do now in September that seems to be making him so happy. And that gets me to my intended main point. If it's AI that is making him happy, I am happy for him. If it's single promo that is making him happy, I am happy for him. If it's his love that is making him happy, I am happy for him. I don't think that I personally know what is the best for him, or can say what will be the best (or even better) thing that could happen for him. |

The last season of Idol that was an interesting competition/race was AI8. Since then, it has just been no contest. BORING. Did anyone really doubt that P2 would win this year? Kris, Lee, Scotty, P2 -- the string of boring winners is a huge problem.
I wish this was over.

I want Adam between the two girls. We could play a game guessing how many times they will touch him. I know Adam likes to recycle clothes but I want him to have a new outfit every week IF he gets the job. Half the fun of Idol was what would Adam wear. Is there any buzz of a format change for Idol? |
