Just looking at everything as a clue, one could say that Adam twitter-raving about Tina's new song, but not Mariah's, is a clue that he didn't get Idol. Tina is, after all, Mariah's counterpart on the rival show THE VOICE. Or maybe Adam is just doing a fake-out. Or maybe Adam is like a lot us who appreciate Mariah but think Mariah guesting on her own single is a comedown, not a comeback. I think that Adam is just being Adam -- and he tweeted about a song he likes. I agree. I think Adam is just passionate about music and tweets about what he likes, doesn't care what other people think, and doesn't have a hidden agenda. Didn't he say he liked Justin Bieber's song and when he got flak, he said his ears don't discriminate.

Thanks to junkets for pointing out another Adam fake song going around courtesy of AdamLambertUnderneat who brought us such classics as the fake Map and Underneath leaks and the fake FYE demos!

Dunno if this has been cleared up on another forum but I had a look on Twitter and just saw loads of people sharing it, so if you see anyone sharing it let them know.
Amazing song though :D

I don't need no GPS but there's been a red carpet of clues all leading in one direction, toward the Idol judging table. I thought when the "beautiful rumor" first surfaced it seemed a real possibility that Adam could actually be an AI judge because I didn't think he'd react so openly positive, putting his cards on the table, so to speak, if he didn't have a true chance. Plus, he was glowing. But it seemed almost too much to hope for and there was so much Queen goodness to focus on that I pushed the thoughts of Idol to the side. When Dean Piper commented a few days later that he didn't know if Adam would be available for a worldwide Queen tour because he'd be "busy soon" that was the first time the thought flashed through my mind that Adam had been offered the job because I believed Adam would tell Dean, given their relationship. Looking back at events, I think he finalized the deal and signed the contract soon after he returned home. Adam's comments about returning to Oklahoma and the Popledge tweets reinforced my thought that he had the job, but the Sacramento radio station interview made the belief take root and solidify in my heart. I was afraid to express the feeling out loud, as if that would somehow jinx it, and wrote that I thought he was in serious contention when I was actually flailing on the inside. When 4Msrmyn stated that same day that she'd go so far as to say she thinks he's already got the Idol gig, I posted that I felt the same way but was afraid to count my chickens. When Adam tweeted the next weekend that he was announcing a new single "soon," all my chicks flew the coop! Apparently, my writing that day about a scenario as if Adam had already gotten the job made some uncomfortable, but I can honestly say that at the time it wasn't intentional and it didn't occur to me to express my thoughts differently because I was transcribing from mind to the keyboard what I was seeing and believing and projecting, and it felt very real to me. I tried to explain the reasons I felt the way I did. I've been more aware of my language since then, and have tried to make more conscious word choices, which can be difficult when I'm writing on the fly and which in the end hasn't changed much about the way I speak about this topic because his position on the panel still felt very real. A couple of moments gave me pause along the way and I wasn't sure what the configuration of judges would be around him, but believed Adam would be at the table. Wherever anyone's feelings fall along the spectrum of belief, I don't think anyone should worry about being mistaken or not on a message board. Where's the fun in that? For me, it's a place to play and dream and share information and ideas, that are sometimes on the mark and sometimes not, and I wouldn't want anything to hinder that free expression. There have been soooo many more hints since that day Adam announced he'd be releasing a new single. And with Adam's follow of American Idol on Twitter, I gave myself permission to full-on flail. And here's the main point I wanted to make (sorry for running on): We know him. It's not an exaggeration to say that if he followed AI knowing he did not have the job, and knowing how some fans would interpret the act, then I would seriously have to reassess all of my instincts and some of what I thought I knew about life. I do not believe he would ever be so careless with the emotions of people who care about him. Heartache, worry, and disappointment can seem to persist forever. I wish times of celebration could last just as long, so I'm getting a head start! I'm gonna ride my wave of happiness and enjoy the anticipation!

Ok I've got a question, but its not solidly formed so bear with me here. IF Adam was hired, would/could part of the compensation be non-monetary? Such as agreements to use Adam's music in shows, etc? If they form these types of agreements what are the types of perks he could expect? Yes, the final Idol contract contains all kinds of terms -- including promotional guarantees.

Happy dance because as I stated I think Adam should focus elsewhere. But that is called my opinion. Yes it differs from others. But I am getting the feeling that any differing opinion from the majority is not welcome here. Truth be told I think Adam is way better than that tv show American Idol. There I said it. AI is a lot of exposure. I don't think that we can even necessarily tell the possible impact of him being in AI again based on how it has impacted the careers of other judges. He is not the same as they are. He used Idol on the first round to get pretty far, by being smart and so amazingly talented. That is what he did with that exposure. Who knows what he can do with the second round. Or whatever he is going to do now in September that seems to be making him so happy. And that gets me to my intended main point. If it's AI that is making him happy, I am happy for him. If it's single promo that is making him happy, I am happy for him. If it's his love that is making him happy, I am happy for him. I don't think that I personally know what is the best for him, or can say what will be the best (or even better) thing that could happen for him.

Am wondering if the fact that DMG was talking to AI re Katy Perry earlier on would have any bearing on what they could get for Adam. Would it have given them a better idea of the lay of the land, so to speak?

Am wondering if the fact that DMG was talking to AI re Katy Perry earlier on would have any bearing on what they could get for Adam. Would it have given them a better idea of the lay of the land, so to speak? It would certainly have provided a high level opportunity to present the idea of Adam being a judge.

Wow, he really needs to cheer up Man, how anyone can actively dislike such a beacon of human energy and positivity like that is absolutely beyond me. And lol, his "speculating" comment about what he'd do if he wasn't an entertainer (guessing since it wasn't on vid). ;D Glad he likes that because it is what we do best. It really is incredible how after watching this man for three years - all the performances and interviews and cannot remember a single time when he didn't give 1000%. I mean, who doesn't have an off day once in a while? He sure never seems to. Even times when maybe things didn't go as well as he would hope (AMAs) it sure wasn't for lack of energy or commitment. Misha, LOVED your post.
