I find it hard to believe that people put their work on hold waiting to find out if they are a judge on Idol. I would think most of the people they pick do not have much on their plate that is why they take the job. Adam is very busy and could be out doing one off concerts. To have nothing on his schedule in Sept tells me this is planned. He can not be doing nothing next month in hopes it will happen. Look how Adam had to give up his job in the theater to try out for Idol, this without knowing if he would even make the cut. It's like taking a leap of faith. I think he may doing the Leap of faith thing again. IMHO,(preaching to the choir) Adam is the very best one to be the judge,he could really help the contestants understand the process,plus the fact that Adam has made a great mentor and judge before. If record sales are the only criteria for AI than they deserve to lose out to The Voice,in the ratings war. IMO,The Voice really seems interested in expanding vocal and entertainment skills to their contestants. Giving up Wicked for the chance of a lifeteime, when he wanted a life change is not even close to the same thing as asking someone to give up hundreds of thousands of dollars of tour or one off income! Not even close! :-/ |

Thinking that while we wait we should post items of clothing we would love to see Adam wear. Our own personal What Haute Couture Would Look Hot on Adam feature. Not that he's our personal doll or anything 8-) I would like this game . Btw , guys ?? next twitter party we should ask Adam if he ever lurks on Atop ;D ;D ;D Does it have never asked? That would be an interesting question, and I would be interested in the answer.  |

Adam + Ambien + jet lag= one hilarious twitter party!!  Agree with Juniemoon..Adam is not one for waiting. The secrecy about Idol must be driving him bonkers. I think his single release IS tied into the Idol announcement, so the delays are tying his hands for both projects. Adam rushes back from Australia..why? If Idol was still making up its mind, he could have just as well gone to NZ. No..he had to be back. I have faith. It's a done deal. Maybe Idol is having a hard time prying Randy out of the judge's seat? He's been stuck there so long...lol...super glue. Idol might have wanted Brad Paisley, but getting Keith Urban is a true find. Viewers will LOVE Keith Urban..he's a very deep thinker like Adam, also very light-hearted and knows the business. He'll give great critiques. TeddyBear...the Testicle Oracle..you are so hilarious..   I've never disagreed with a testicle before..this is definitely new territory..lol.. ;D BTW..which testicle is up for the block depending on the single? He said he is "waiting. " He is having a love affair with his fans, this year, with us! Can you imagine how hard it is to know and keep this secret? I think he was signed as late as last week, because they were still trying for Paisley. Nick Jonas was a Plan B, in case they couldn't sign a Country judge. Urban gets off tour the 4th. The announcement is coming soon! |

Not even close! :-/ Maybe. Adam wasn't going on tour during this time no matter what happens with Idol. He could be doing one-offs (making money) and also single promo (spending money). Adam didn't just give up Wicked, from what I understand. He gave up the ability to sign on again with Wicked OR any other touring company for a year. That was giving up a full time job that he couldn't go back to and giving up his profession for a year. It was a huge leap of faith. Adam is at the point in his life where he can take a month or two off and still live the same lifestyle he is accustomed to. He wasn't at that point when he tried out for Idol and he definitely would have been in trouble if he had to take a year off. When I read about the AI contract and the situation it put Adam in, I understood why more Broadway professional didn't ever try out for Idol! |

The suspense is killing me! Did Enrique actually cancel any of his tour or was it already open? I haven't been following that closely.
