But there were tons of people who had experience in the music business, Melinda was a backup singer, Cook, Daughtry, Paul McDonald, etc. had bands that I believed released albums, Kris, Matt, Taylor, Lee, etc. had albums. All of these people were performing and probably getting paid. How does that make them any different from Adam? None of us had ever heard of any of these people including Adam. And I remember reading that if anyone from Season 8 should be disqualified, it would be Alison because she had some contract/deal from winning a Mexican singing contest. they all might have... but I don;t remember them being presented as musicians...Kris was a "student" with no focus. and Lee was a paint salesman, and Daughtry was some store person as well (?), Clay was teacher and so on....all I am saying is that the way AI is trying to spin these people like they just woke up and decided to sing, just for public appeal...I just can't remember any narrative around anyone's music career or record release... at best they would mention some church stuff - I guess that's a "respectable" and understandable area for AI audience... in any case - If AI's only purpose in existence was destined to give us Adam - it is good enough for me  The ones I specifically remember are Melinda (introduced as profession background singer) and Paul McDonald (introduced as musician), but there are probably more. For me, I didn't care at all about the person's background, it was just if they could sing or not. Besides Adam, the only other reality show contestant that remotely impressed me was Jeremy Lister of the Sing-Off, and he was recently dropped from a record deal prior to the show. |

I have never realized that Tommy has a perfect profile.... he really does - it (his profile) is gorgeous - in every way. I don't think Tommy has a perfect profile.. It looks kind of funny, because his chin is longer than his nose. I like Sauli's profile better, where his nose is not competing with his chin... HAHAHA Just 2 hot guys, no matter how you look at it!!!! |

do they even need contestants? Simon came up with yet another "winning" for HIM formula and made it all about the JUDGES/MENTORS..DIGUSTING.... makes me embarrassed to want this for Adam.... They X Factor had big names come in last year. In fact, Mariah was set to be Simon's celebrity artist, but couldn't make it. The other celebrity guest artists last year were Rihanna, Enrique and Pharrell. In years past, Idol has had big name artists come in as mentors and guest judges during the audition rounds and during the live shows. I would list them, but the list is way too long! lol This is nothing new. I'm not sure why it would be embarrassing for Adam to be in the same group with these big name, successful artists. ??? |

I find it hard to believe that people put their work on hold waiting to find out if they are a judge on Idol. I would think most of the people they pick do not have much on their plate that is why they take the job. Adam is very busy and could be out doing one off concerts. To have nothing on his schedule in Sept tells me this is planned. He can not be doing nothing next month in hopes it will happen.  I don't think RCA will let him put on hold his activity/promotion for something that's still up in the air. They will pushe him to do more promotion, especially if they are going to release new single. If he don't have anything in his schedule this week, I still don't understand why Adam didn't promote Trespassing in HK, Singapore and Phillipine where he has quite a lot of fans there instead flying back home ASAP. Last one, Adam suddenly following Mariah Carey and AI official twitter account's funny. Adam is not going to follow someone just for the sake of following. He either following someone that he met at the event and he think there's possibility that they will work together in the future or he is working with that person already. I don't think Adam has met Mariah Carey in person yet and why he just followed AI official twitter now and not 3 years ago. |
