The suspense is killing me! Did Enrique actually cancel any of his tour or was it already open? I haven't been following that closely. I am still catching up so sorry if this is answered. Enrique was signed up to do a World Tour with JLO then quietly, and unnoticed, dropped a part of the tour. No reason was given. It would be a very big deal to Enrique to get the Idol gig -- he has a huge Latin American audience/buyers, but has never been able to cross over to the mainstream US audience. (That is, English speaking audience.)

It would be a very big deal to Enrique to get the Idol gig -- he has a huge Latin American audience/buyers, but has never been able to cross over to the mainstream US audience. (That is, English speaking audience.) It'd be a big deal to him, but possibly not a big deal for idol. If I were deciding on the panel, I'd take Minaj, Urban, and Mariah over both Adam and Enrique. The diva and the country star will keep the demographic the show already has, and Minaj will widen the demographic. After that, though, Adam has far more to bring to the table than Enrique. He's younger, and they don't need a third older judge on the panel. He also generates controversy whether he wants to or not, and that, too, works for idol. He's a tie in to the "older" idol, and proof that those who do well on the show can make it in the business. I understand why Enrique would be appealing, but I think Adam has a real shot here.

So Cuckoo as the next single? Isn't he going to sing both Cuckoo and Trespassing on the PLL?
