Pretty much don't care if Adam is in that video or not, lol. As a teacher, I know anyone who can take any credit for nurturing Adam's talent feels pretty lucky and blessed.

MAP is obviously about his journey thru Idol. It was the light that showed him the way past being in the chorus. He was in bed with it, ie understood it was a game and played the game to perfection. It continues to keep him warm, inviting him back to mentor/perform and he continues to sing the shows praises as well. He doesn't need a map because Idol shows the way. This entered my mind too. But I had trouble with the spiritual aspect of the song. Don't you lay tracks. I'm laying beside you could be the Trespassing CD. The CD was the vision that changed everything and once he had it, he knew where to go and didn't need directions. |

Aside from the simple fact that they may not have been able to get permission to use Adam's image, if he was in the promo it would imply that they helped develop his "unique voice". The truth is that Adam came to Idol with the skills they are talking about already well developed. I for one would not want to see the implication that Idol developed Adam's talent. For Adam Idol was a platform that he came in to with already well developed skills. All of the ones in that video did develop quit a bit during the course of the show and Michael & Peisha probably worked with them. However Michael has said on more than one occasion that Adam knew exactly what he needed to do and for example although Michael helped with the arrangement of Believe in Hollywood week he stated that the idea was all Adam's and Michael was sceptical of whether it would work. I don't think Michael feels that he taught Adam anything so why would he claim to by putting Adam in a promo video advertising their coaching service. They are not advertising Idol they are advertising their coaching skills.
I deleted my whining post after I read yours rihannsu ;D because you make some good points. But I still have to say that the people who see this video won't look at it that way. We, as Adam fans, are rationalizing why he wasn't included. Others will just know that he wasn't = period.Hadn't thought to look at it in that way, but it kinda makes sense. However, I do wonder about Joshua, who is in the video. JLo said was the best singer in the last 50 years (something like that) and Kris said he was the best singer ever on the show. Did Joshua need a lot of coaching, as didn't he get 15 standing ovations? I haven't watched Idol since season 8 but Joshua was the one I kept hearing of as the "best singer ever". |

Kelly Clarkson is not in that video is she? Michael Orland worked with her on Idol (or says he did in his bio.) So Adam is in very good company. Yes she is, the very first one. But you can find someone with Kelly's voice. You may not find anyone with Adam's voice. I totally agree!!!!! |

Uhh, are we expecting some idol related leaks tomorrow? I think we are beyond leaks and may finally get real news. Anyway many of these "sources" reports are not generating much buzz so perhaps they have burned this game out. Simon Fuller indicated that something would be coming soon. Soon could be around 9/12/12. From EW on 8/31/12....http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/08/31/randy-jackson-idol/ Sounds like a plan to make multiple announcements vs. one big one to me. But I have learned to never trust what Fuller says completely. Honest -- once this was fun -- now the whole Idol thing has become tiresome. I for one, am done with rumors and speculation. We will know when it is announced. if there'll be "real news", I don't think it will be released tomorrow. So there might be nothing till the end of the week at the earliest, or next week |

There was at least one clip of I believe Michael either working with him or talking about working with him about being more in control of how he used his runs, etc. There was plenty to work on with Joshua remember the judges were pretty much useless. Joshua has a lot of passion and a decently trained voice but does not always know how to use it to the best effect. As for the best singer in 50 years I call bullcrap on that and not because Adam's better but Aretha, Whitney, Ella, Patti LaBelle, etc. etc. |
