I deleted my whining post after I read yours rihannsu ;D because you make some good points. But I still have to say that the people who see this video won't look at it that way. We, as Adam fans, are rationalizing why he wasn't included. Others will just know that he wasn't = period.Hadn't thought to look at it in that way, but it kinda makes sense. However, I do wonder about Joshua, who is in the video. JLo said was the best singer in the last 50 years (something like that) and Kris said he was the best singer ever on the show. Did Joshua need a lot of coaching, as didn't he get 15 standing ovations? I haven't watched Idol since season 8 but Joshua was the one I kept hearing of as the "best singer ever". Well, if JLo said that, it must be true. :  And Kris? Meaning Kris Allen? Well, he can hardly say that Adam was the best ever, since Kris beat him, right? I don't think I will be asking Kris's opinions of vocalists any more than JLo's. Excuse me for the snark, but, I mean, REALLY? Joshua is a soul singer. A very good one in that genre. If that is the type of music you love and the type of voice you love, I respect that. What I use to define what is best in a singer crosses genres and styles. It has to do with technique, control, tone, resonance, phrasing, interpretation, and versatility in the voice and in the ability to sing in different styles. Based on what I have heard, I wouldn't put Joshua in the running. But, if I was interested in a new singer doing soulful music and gospel, I would check him out, for sure. For me, Adam's title of "best" is not threatened. IMHO. YMMV. |

I think we are beyond leaks and may finally get real news. Anyway many of these "sources" reports are not generating much buzz so perhaps they have burned this game out. Simon Fuller indicated that something would be coming soon. Soon could be around 9/12/12. From EW on 8/31/12....http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/08/31/randy-jackson-idol/ Sounds like a plan to make multiple announcements vs. one big one to me. But I have learned to never trust what Fuller says completely. Honest -- once this was fun -- now the whole Idol thing has become tiresome. I for one, am done with rumors and speculation. We will know when it is announced. Bless your keyboard, I hope you are right. I want to know one way or another and go back to enjoying the music. Not that I'm not enjoying the music now, but idol is such a big thing for him (and for us ;D) that I NEED to know in order to move on. |

;-) I don't know how anyone can post a favorite photo. Everytime I say "Wow, best ever!!" a new one comes along and that one is the BEST!! So lost, I am.

Are we really whining because Adam's biggest cheerleader from Idol is not claiming to be his vocal coach? Rhiannsu kudos to your explanation! Orland is not a vocal coach. I think Darian or Dorian was the vocal coach that's working with Adam during AI |

We will know when it is announced. if there'll be "real news", I don't think it will be released tomorrow. So there might be nothing till the end of the week at the earliest, or next week Nothing and no one has indicated anything will happen tomorrow. I continue to believe the big announcement will be 9/12/12 -- after the Democratic convention is over. The only change is that Simon Fuller indicated on 8/31/12 there may be more than one announcement. Could just be another Idol red herring. We will know when we know. |
