By the way, you always get Enrique's name wrong.  It's "Enrique Iglesias". And God, if he gets picked as an Idol judge I swear Spain is going to laugh so hard you will be able to hear us from there. lol Can you explain more? Sounds like Spain has a different view of Enrique. Lots of daddy association going on? ;D Yes, we have a different view of him. Why do you think he lives over there? lol We're kind of amazed that he's so loved in the States, when we know for a fact that he can't sing that well and that he wouldn't have been able to make it if it hadn't been for his father. I just told my friends over lunch that he was probably being considered as an Idol judge and they all bursted out laughing like this: :4OMG: I mean, he certainly has fans over here, and we don't hate him or anything. But most of us don't take him seriously, that's for sure. |

With NCOE, it felt like they were trying to manufacture a hit. Let's take this existing song and try to mold it to fit pop radio. Oh, and then we will bring Bruno into the studio to give the whole thing radio "cred." It's like working backwards. Clearly, this doesn't work. At least for Adam. And, I think maybe it didn't feel "authentic" to a lot of fans.
Trespassing (and just about every other upbeat song on the CD) is completely Adam. It is catchy and anthemic and different. I say unless you are Katy Perry or Bruno Mars (among others) it is time to throw "radio-friendly" out the window and go with something different.

Except for the time when Adam took a break after the GNT tour and then the time he was working on his Trespassing album ,it seems to me , that he's been almost everywhere at one time. This quiet,who knows what's going on back stage ,has me un-nerved,unhinged. It's not only the Idol thing,because I'm not thinking he has the judgeship,maybe something else on the show.It's everything else.. OK release of new single... OK how ,what ,where. I know it's Adam's life ,but I want to be that fly on the wall.Come on Adam.. que' pasa?? I agree. Just. Too. Quiet. Something has to be about to break. |

I love Trespassing! It should have been the first single, for a whole bunch of different reasons. In regard to pop radio, if you aren't one of the usual suspects, and you are trying to break through, what seems to be working are tracks that are very different and distinct. My KISS station is still playing the heck out of Adele, Gotye, Fun, and Alex Clare. Here is KIIS LA -- the model station for all the KISS format stations and a sample of what they played this morning...and pretty much a mix of Power Currents and Secondary Currents....plus some Power Classics like RYB and Billionaire. That is the KISS formula.  Maybe today we could do pics of favorite body parts (no, I never swim in the shallow end!)..... Slapdash, you cruel, cruel, lady. When I clicked for the large image, I could see his nose hair. And it looks divine, lol, I've watched for [coughs] minutes at least. What lovely hair he has, up his nose and elsewhere. I've been trying to crack the radio adds thingy all by myself and this mediabase add board page tells me that no report has been received so far this week from KDMX-FM addboard.mediabase.com/AddsByStation.asp?c_let=KDMX-FM and they keep asking me to sign in, but there's no sign up place, so I guess it's not free for general public to sign up? It's a bit frustrating, what with the existing screencap on p.1 and all. It was such a pleasure to listen to his Matinee performance, those two songs are perfection. Love them both to pieces. The first Trespassing radio add makes me very, very., happy. TP is going to be one hell of a single. I underestimated Cuckoo, I'm afraid. There's more to it and I'm going to go all Sherlock on Cuckoo asap. I don't mind the wait, I'm not nervous at all, everything is just fine, I don't understand the fuss. I did want to taste the bananas in coconut oil, though. It looked yummy. I'm guessing Sauli was the chef, Adam the videographer. Do they eat it solo or with some ice cream, or yoghurt? It would defeat the low on calories' purpose that way, lol. Plus, that little video Adam tweeted, his legs in the air, a smile on his face... precious. I loved hearing Sauli's English. 'Is this a fucking veeedeeeow?' It was so sweet!  ) Re Adam's vest, I'm on #AdamheldtheprecutpaperandSaulispraypaintedoverit Team Re Bamafan's birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY , BAMAFAN! There's so much going on, I'm barely keeping up. ETA Also, I was happy to see there is no big difference between him performing for LGBT community and Glamberts. Other than the number of crotch grabs per song. But he did do only two songs so he prolly had to squeeze all his crotch grabs into that amount of time. Splendid ;D |
