To be honest, all the things/news happen recently tell me that Adam doesn't get the gig. The good thing is it finally comes to an end, unlike weeks ago when we kept speculating and waiting which I found more tiresome than now.
Previously, I thought even if Adam had the gig, it wouldn't help much with this single. It will for sure with the 4th single, if there is any, to be released ealy next year when AI is on air. I didn't believe that the AI promo that will happen in a couple of weeks would do anything to boost this new single, Trespassing, in case he got the gig. Exposure doesnt gurantee sales or radio spins. I only believe that once people see how smart, how charming and how interesting he is as a judge, they will fall in love with him, then they'll tend to check out his music, but this won't happen until next year, which is too far away to think about right now.
So whether Adam has the gig or not, it shouldn't impact Trespassing roll-out. So let's move on with the new single.

I don't have anything against any of the supposed panel of judges but they just seem a really weird combination. I can't see what AI thinks is so good about these 4. I really have been unable to watch idol much since Adam's year. Even with all the added so called glamour that was added to the show, it just seemed blah. The angle of having someone who had been a contestant and has done well really made a lot of sense to me but again, I only want what Adam wants, Whatever makes him happy makes me happy. I just think he deserves the best.

Does no one else feel sad about this? Is it just stiff-upper-lip time or what. I feel kind of like after the Idol finale - empty feeling in pit of stomach. Guess I was clinging on to hope unjustified. Now I have to hope and pray he gets seen and heard by the masses somehow. :( I am with you. The only thing is we don't know what he has planned and he does. So, we need to follow the TrustTheBitch advice and live our lives.

Is it absolutely sure that Adam is not the Idol judge? ???
Thanks Albiku, clarifying that Enrique issue! :D

I have been listening to the Dallas radio station for a couple of hours and heard several mentions of Texas Tango concert and Adam performing there. They also mention that his new song was premiered last night and add comments like: awesome song, to rave reviews, a lot of good reactions. Unfortunately I have not heard any Adam's song yet today.
While listening I checked radio playlists in Finland to get an idea of the situation for Adam at the moment. I did look back about 48 hours on the six stations that have a large coverage in the country. That is a very small sample but I believe it gives some guidelines anyway.
* Aalto and Nova have gone back to playing only WWFM and IIHY. Two months ago Nova played NCOE 4 times a day and six months ago WWFM, FYE and IIHY with some BTIKM. As I recall Aalto has played Adam's music but not that much, maybe once a day or two. * Very quiet on YleXtrem, only Aftermath played once in a while. They started well with BTIKM but dropped it after a month and played NCOE very little. * YleX plays NCOE only about twice a day mostly due to our voting as they are a 'hit station'. They played BTIKM as long as it was on the voting list. * NRJ and Voice are the heaviest spinners. They still play NCOE 2-3 times a day and also some other Adam's song every day. As other songs, NRJ has Sleepwalker and BTIKM, Voice has Aftermath, WWFM and BTIKM (during the last 48 hours, remember).
Nova publishes a a radio play chart where NCOE is on the 14th place. On official album sales chart Trespassing was nr 33 (week 34) and dropped to nr 42 (week 35). Regarding album sales it seems that there is a dire need for the new single and I do believe Trespassing will be liked here. Adam has a radio presence but new song will be a good boost for radio play too.
LET'S GO TRESPASSING!

In keeping with the cryptic language of late, lol, remember when we used to say we were hungry for dinner? Well, that dinner will be ON no matter who the host is, and I'll be there waiting to be fed! If mashed potatoes are on the menu, and Adam wants to seve them, I'll eat what is there and not worry about "seconds." If that is not on the menu, I'll enjoy whatever else he cooks up. The man's so good he even makes kale appealing to me. I trust that bitch. I've been following him for three years now. I trust in his passion and in his drive and in his talent and in his energy and in his ability to find ways to deliver meals that send me into ecstasy. Adam cooks up JOY and ATTITUDE and FREEDOM and FUN! All concocted, of course, with the best ingredients ever. There is realness, too, but it won't keep him from walking his walk. Instead, it is the flavor that makes his meal so unique. ETA: Okay, morning on... NEXT? LET"S GO

ANother side note: WHY didn't 102NOW give TP a DAYTIME premier SPIN rather than at night.???? THis is going to drive me crazy all over again. It was in the evening. Are there more people listening to the radio in the evening than during the day time? At least for me. I can't listen to the radio during the day.

I, too, have had mixed feelings about the AI thing. What will be, will be, but it is amazing to me that TPTB don't seem to be able to see the forest for the trees. Sure, they can fill their "demographic slots" in an effort to reach whatever group they are aiming for, but last season should have shown them if the the people they choose don't do the job, it doesn't matter where they "come from."
Adam will be fine (is fine), and will take the long view. He may not be on the radar of the general public (yet), but he is building a tremendous network and, with his talent and charisma, will achieve what he wants to achieve. Those of us here are in it for the long haul, and I think Adam takes comfort in knowing that.

Maybe the "Trust A Bitch" covering his eyes means that even tho we can't SEE anything positive in this rejection, trust that it's okay and he has plans that will help replace the Idol exposure. Grasping at straws here. :-/
