I, too, have had mixed feelings about the AI thing. What will be, will be, but it is amazing to me that TPTB don't seem to be able to see the forest for the trees. Sure, they can fill their "demographic slots" in an effort to reach whatever group they are aiming for, but last season should have shown them if the the people they choose don't do the job, it doesn't matter where they "come from." Adam will be fine (is fine), and will take the long view. He may not be on the radar of the general public (yet), but he is building a tremendous network and, with his talent and charisma, will achieve what he wants to achieve. Those of us here are in it for the long haul, and I think Adam takes comfort in knowing that. Agree with you |

Does no one else feel sad about this? Is it just stiff-upper-lip time or what. I feel kind of like after the Idol finale - empty feeling in pit of stomach. Guess I was clinging on to hope unjustified. Now I have to hope and pray he gets seen and heard by the masses somehow. :( No, I will admit it, I am really sad. Idol was a big enough opportunity that Adam and team basically put everything on-hold. This would have been an enormous boost. But, I am trying really hard to move on. I just want to see RCA and DMG step up and get a few BIG opportunities for Adam. And I want to see them go all-out for this single. He needs Trespassing to be a hit---this could open doors to things like an AMA performance. And they need to put out and support a video this time. |

Maybe the "Trust A Bitch" covering his eyes means that even tho we can't SEE anything positive in this rejection, trust that it's okay and he has plans that will help replace the Idol exposure. Grasping at straws here. :-/ That's how I understand the "trust a bitch" thing too. ... Or maybe he just liked the pic. lol |

And, Idol disappoints me once again. Nuthin' new there. Never has been about "the best." I did my mourning last night. Today, onward.

While listening I checked radio playlists in Finland to get an idea of the situation for Adam at the moment. [...] Wow, lots of exposure in Finland!  As the last resort, Adam and Sauli could move over there where Adam is valued as an artist.  I can't understand why he doesn't get the same attention in other countries, especially the US and the UK. My country? Okay, I don't like it, but I understand. The US and the UK? Unfathomable. |

It must be so frustrating for him to be so f****ing good and make such amazingly great music... only to end up being ignored by the business. It's so unfair it's not even funny. He is good, and I think he knows it  But he is also not quite "there" yet, commercially, and I think he knows this too. Seriously, RCA is going to have to start thinking outside the box. And while music is the priority, he may have to start branching out into other areas. Of course, a hit song could change everything. Go Trespassing!! |
