Albiku, could you tell us a little bit, why the Spain are laughing, if Enrique Iglesias will be an Idol judge. I already explained on yesterday's post (or was it the day before yesterday?), but I will explain again, no problem. In Spain, we find it amazing that he's so beloved in the States when we know for a fact he's not that good at singing and that he probably wouldn't have been able to make it if it hadn't been for his father. He certainly has fans over here, but most of us just laugh at him a lot. I don't know... We just perceive him in a different way. We don't hate him or anything, but most people will groan and think: "Oh God, what's he doing there?" Maybe he will surprise us, maybe he will make a great judge. Who knows... I'm not an Enrique fan or anything, but the facts and figures don't say that everyone in Spain is laughing at EA. All of his Spanish-language albums have gone platinum in Spain. He has had two fairly recent Spanish-language hits and "Tonight" and "I Like It" did just as well over there as they did on the charts in the States. A recent single that flopped here did well on the charts there. You and the people you know may laugh at him, but that doesn't mean that everyone does is Spain or in the rest of Europe. I guess it would make people feel better to think this,( I don't know why) but the facts don't point to Enrique being a "joke" with a large majority in Spain or in other parts of the world.

Does no one else feel sad about this? Is it just stiff-upper-lip time or what. I feel kind of like after the Idol finale - empty feeling in pit of stomach. Guess I was clinging on to hope unjustified. Now I have to hope and pray he gets seen and heard by the masses somehow. :( I am extremely sad about Idol and very worried about his future now. Without massive promo, I don't see his music getting out there on the level he needs in order to become a bigger star. I am worried about his disappointment too. I feel like crying!

Coming out of lurkville because I feel compelled to note that after the "Trust A Bitch" picture, I see more and more a link to Christian Grey in 50 Shades. No hope of him getting the movie role though because he would have to lie when Ana asks him if he's gay.
Could we start a trend of #TrustAdam

I wasn't talking about me and the people I know, and I would NEVER make a generalization based only on my environment. I don't really like to generalize, period. And if you read carefully what I wrote, I said he certainly had fans over here, so it wasn't really a generalization either. I was talking about people on the streets. It's the general perception, though he does have his loyal fanbase... But the majority of the people don't take him too seriously here, at least not now. He was really big years ago. Just not now. And I didn't say he was a joke either, did I? He's not a joke. We just don't take him that seriously anymore. That's all.

Knowing that he must be disappointed just makes me sad. But I don’t care much about the idol job. I never know Randy Jackson before Idol, so he is and will always be just one of idol judges for me, the same as Kara. I like Paula when she was an idol judge, but I still can’t name any of her songs. And now everytime I heard or see photos of Jlo or Steve Tylor, the first thing that goes to my mind is American idol . Maybe it’s a good thing at this early stage of Adam’s career that he will be recognized as a singer and artist instead of an idol judge.

Just wonder if it is because I don't watch Idol, I am not an Idol fan, I take it easier than many of you here even though I really wanted him to get the gig ? I am not a huge Idol fan, but can't help feel the massive exposure and the chance for America to get to see what a nice person he is would have been just an absolute game changer.
