102.9 NOW @1029now 30 minutes until #NowTexasTango tickets go on sale! Get details here on how to purchase & get ready to get your seats! www.1029now.comJust got my Texas Tango tickets....look like pretty good seats. I'm sure the radio station reserved a lot of center seats. Going with some P2 fans-should be interesting. Was in the car driving when I heard Trespassing on 102.9 last night in Dallas-sounded so great on the radio right!!??? As for Idol-just want it to be over. Have a feeling he will have some role but maybe not being a judge-time will tell. Nothing we can do either way!

Adam's handled plenty of professional disappointments. If the article is true and he didn't get the job, he'll be fine.
No looking back for me, going to keep moving forward.

LOL, this is the first time in a looooooong time that this frickin' picket fence I've been perching on re: Idol feels comfortable . I mean, it's just so easy to fall over to one side or the other ;D. Not gonna lie--my gut feeling was he had the gig--but I'm genuinely happy either way. Honestly, I don't think the cognitive dissonance on this one is gonna be that tough to work. Most peeps were just feeling the tight stretch of these last few weeks--Atop'll bounce back just fine no matter what. Adam's tweet this morning made me grin. Hearing the Trespassing radio edit just pulled that grin wider. I'd been listening to the song a lot lately, and had actually meant to post yesterday that I thought they needed a radio edit (I know it was only 3.30, but it felt longer for some reason). LOVE the album version, but I had a hard time imagining it on repeat on the radio, which had me a wee bit worried. This new version--no problem at all. (Only thing i miss is the cascading "oh-oooh-oh-oh-oooh-oh-ey" over the "gong" sounds at around the 1:15 mark in the album version, but its okay--the driving beat of the radio version is awesome.) Wonder what happens next?! Isn't genuine suspense so much more fun than being teased about specifics for months? #FinnishYay

Without Idol I'm 100% sure you wouldn't know who Adam even is, even if you've never watched a single episode of the show. That "stupid" show is what brought Adam into the livingrooms of 25+ million people every week and that "stupid" show is what gave him the opportunity to have the career he's having right this very minute. That "stupid" show needs Mariah much more than she needs it. She's a worldwide superstar and whatever lull in her career she's experiencing now does nothing to detract from the decades of hits she has in her catalog. As for radio, maybe they'll play trespassing maybe they won't. Who knows. Personally I don't think Trespassing is as radio friendly as some of the other songs on the album but I'm no expert so whatever. Whatever happens with Idol Adam will continue to be fine. Will his career get a big boost if he's on the show? common sense and history says of course it will. Does he need it to survive? No I don't think he does but it would certainly help push him to another level which is where he wants to be. Whoah , calm down , honey . Yes , maybe the show gave him visibility , but you can't deny the show is indeed STUPID with capital letters because , in the end , it wasn't HE who won . Yes Idle OPENED the door . that fine . Doesn't mean he has to stick with it to the very end of his career , since they didn't even give his deserved crown in the first place . And what would you call a TALENT show that is SUPPOSED to give opportunities to hopeful singers but instead just blows up the judges' careers ?? isn't it stupid ? what about the poor contestants ?? Adam is here for his TALENT . Where is Kris Allen ?? he was on the same show , same season , same visibility , he had THE SAME OPPORTUNITY , WON THE COMPETITION , and he is nowhere to be seen . The show is stupid . Adam does NOT need to be on that show again . Maybe you haven't followed Idol for the past eleven years, but AI does not "just give opportunities to the judges". (That would be The Voice. ) "What about the poor contestants"? Well, Kelly, Carrie, and Scotty all have albums that have gone platinum, or will shortly, in the last year. There are others who have roles in movies and TV shows or are still doing well in their genre of music. Many past contestants are currently on Broadway. Jhud continues to get many opportunities, Fantasia continues to do well in Urban, Daughtry is touring with NB in Europe and his album will go gold, Mandisa has a ton of #1s in CC and is nominated for Grammys every year. I suspect that Kelly and Carrie will be nominated for several Grammys this year. This year's winner is just about to watch his coronation single go double platinum and it is rumored that the runner up is going to have a role on Glee this Fall. Two nights ago, she just sang for the DNC. AI does not throw away their contestants after the season. They have had Adam on the show to promote his music several times, called him a superstar since his season ended, had him back on to mentor, and had him in the final consideration for a judge. He was being considered alongside other artists with extremely impressive resumes. That says something about Idol...and about Adam, and their respect for each other right there.
