I'm wondering if the additional votes are actually registering. I tried to vote many times and the numbers weren't increasing. Maybe it's not that you can't vote many times, but that only one vote per IP counts? :dunno:

Don't be sad! IF that Idol door really closed, then... think about this... Adam will be on Fashion Police, then Pretty Little Liars and he just put out the single that is gonna blow up the radio...everyone loved Trespassing on itunes when the cd first came out. LOS ANGELES, CALIF. -- CaptionNicki Minaj kept her lips sealed at Thursday night’s MTV Video Music Awards about rumors she’s very close to joining the “American Idol” judges panel.
“You know what? At this time, I have no comment on that one,” Nicki told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson on the red carpet, when asked about the reports.
Nicki even admitted she’s not sure she’d make a great judge.
“I’ve never imagined myself as a judge because I tend to think everyone’s amazing – like even the crazy contestants, I always love them because, you know, they’re memorable,” she said. “So, I don’t know.”
Asked if she’d turn down an offer from “American Idol,” Nicki remained coy.
“People have made me offers that I’ve turned down before,” she added.

 For me, reading this news is a shock. It's like being eight and learning there's no Santa Claus. Except I'm not sure if I ever really believed in Santa Claus or just pretended that I did so I'd get presents. But I really deep down believed I'd see Adam on Idol. I'm sad about the opportunity lost. I'm not naturally optimistic (now I have a painful reminder why), but being an Adam fan has changed me in lots of ways, so I'll continue to be hopeful that things will work out for the best, I guess. Positive thought--"Trespassing" really does sound good on the radio.

I guess I'm not going to react either way about AI yet because nothing OFFICIAL has been announced. My concern at the moment is that we fans are able to go with the flow a bit (many are). But I'm always a bit worried when a few beloved Atoppers express so much investment in our fandom that they are crying or feeling huge anxiety or basing personal happiness on the outcome of Adam's career. I know many of us question our sanity at being here (yo). While I hope for the best for him, I need to stay focused on my real life and not live through someone else. Hugs to all.  Just got on and WTF have I walked in to? Thanks, Holst ,for this post! This Idol thing gets me because people are so upset all the time. Let it be over with.. ETA: Can someone lead me to where this new info is that Adam is not on Idol so I don't have to sort, please? Thanks. |
