Whatever happens with Idol -- I hope people do not really panic. Fans do not know what is going on -- but Adam and his management know. I am sure they have promotional plans in place and his management team has not just sitting around hoping he gets an Idol judge slot. Personally, and I know this is a minority opinion, part of me wants him to get Idol but part of me is hoping that he does not get wrapped up in Idol. And yes, I understand the promotional exposure benefits. Even diminished, 16 million viewers is a lot of viewers. But I still have mixed feelings.WHAT I DO NOT HAVE MIXED FEELINGS ABOUT IS TRESPASSING! I am thrilled that Adam finally has one of his own songs as a single, a song that he wrote and that he really wants to see be a hit. I hope he gets to perform it on both Idol and X-Factor no matter how this plays out. X-Factor to kick it off and Idol after it is a mega hit!!
^^^^^ especially to the bold part! You're definitely not alone, Q3.
I brought this up in yesterday's thread, I was wondering if Adam would take a consolation prize on X-Factor as a mentor, should such an offer be extended to him.
And, mys*&@^#r, you are my "Morpheus"! I Adore You So!!
IMO, no! He has lost enough time waiting on stuff like this. The X Factor "mentors" come in for one show and sit with a judge at their house and utter a few words. Not worth it. It's time for Adam to move on, with NO distractions and focus on HIS music and HIS album! He needs some creative, out-of-the box promo and some tour variations this spring and summer to appeal to new fans and bring some casual ones back to his music! mys*&@^#r: That's what I thought, as well. There are already spoilers on which contestants made it through the final rounds at the judges' houses.

Pretty sure the mentor week has already been filmed for XF! And it's only 2 days, so I hope not.

They have filmed two of four X-Factor mentor shows -- "X Factor" U.S. judge Antonio "L.A." Reid has already filmed his "judges' houses" episodes in Los Angeles with guest mentor Justin Bieber, and Demi has filmed hers with Nick Jonas.
They just announced they signed Marc Anthony this week. They are filming this week.
And they have not announced Britney's guest mentor. Perhaps they have filmed it in secret.
---
And, I want Adam to perform on X-Factor not be a mentor.
---
Adam's picture says "TRUST A BITCH". And I plan to trust him. He will be doing stuff in September.

Thanks to tigerlily, mys*&@^#r and Q3 for all your input! I'm "ashamed" to admit that I've not watched a single episode of "Voice", or "X-Factor", and know very little about them.
Just listened to the radio edit of Trespassing, absolutely love it! and looking forward to the promo rollout! ETA: Have a feeling that we should see some promo dates popping up very soon....

I really like the radio edit of Trespassing -- they cut little bits I didn't expect, but it really keeps the flow fast and hard-hitting, which will translate well to radio. It's snappy and sassy -- and I hope to hear lots of people singing along when I am out and about.

Not sure why that "TRUST A BITCH" photo made me so sure that he had everything covered. But it did.

Hey, everyone! I woke up with a smile on my face after reading Adam's last Tweet ("trust a bitch").
About the Idol thing, I have mixed feelings too. I mean, as long as it doesn't interfere with his promo of Trespassing, it would give him a lot of exposure and remind people that he's there and making great music.
On the other hand, it could distract him from other, more important things, like his career apart from Idol. Some part of me thinks it's time for him to separate himself totally and be known as Adam Lambert rather than as "season 8 runner up" (there are lots of articles that talk about him that way still).
I don't know...
Revlisacat, there's a radio edit for Trespassing? Where can I listen to it? ???
