Without Idol I'm 100% sure you wouldn't know who Adam even is, even if you've never watched a single episode of the show. That "stupid" show is what brought Adam into the livingrooms of 25+ million people every week and that "stupid" show is what gave him the opportunity to have the career he's having right this very minute. That "stupid" show needs Mariah much more than she needs it. She's a worldwide superstar and whatever lull in her career she's experiencing now does nothing to detract from the decades of hits she has in her catalog. As for radio, maybe they'll play trespassing maybe they won't. Who knows. Personally I don't think Trespassing is as radio friendly as some of the other songs on the album but I'm no expert so whatever. Whatever happens with Idol Adam will continue to be fine. Will his career get a big boost if he's on the show? common sense and history says of course it will. Does he need it to survive? No I don't think he does but it would certainly help push him to another level which is where he wants to be. Whoah , calm down , honey . Yes , maybe the show gave him visibility , but you can't deny the show is indeed STUPID with capital letters because , in the end , it wasn't HE who won . Yes Idle OPENED the door . that fine . Doesn't mean he has to stick with it to the very end of his career , since they didn't even give his deserved crown in the first place . And what would you call a TALENT show that is SUPPOSED to give opportunities to hopeful singers but instead just blows up the judges' careers ?? isn't it stupid ? what about the poor contestants ?? Adam is here for his TALENT . Where is Kris Allen ?? he was on the same show , same season , same visibility , he had THE SAME OPPORTUNITY , WON THE COMPETITION , and he is nowhere to be seen . The show is stupid . Adam does NOT need to be on that show again . Though I don't watch AI anymore, I'm not going to say AI is a stupid show. It's a good show, it may not entertain you but it definitely entertain 15millions TV viewer in the US and so many outside the US. And howevery way you want to spin your dislike of AI, that show has given second chances to a lot of people with talent to be recognized including Adam. Aparently the show's not that stupid since it makes millions of money for the networks and AI. :4OMG: Mainstream America voted and they voted for the other guy, so are you also going to say that American viewer also stupid with capital letters? I and pretty sure a lot of Adam fans really hope ADAM WILL BE on "that show" again to perform and promote his next single next year and Trespassing tour. That's a free promotion in front of 15millions US viewer. |

But when all you do is worrying, it becomes a bit much I think it goes in cycles, for example during QAL Atop was about as joyous as a place could be. Lately, because of Idol which would have been so huge for his career the worry was understandably increased. Those were both extreme circumstances, and we should settle down to a good balance, but I personally like to feel free to express concern about something like radio adds for example, without feeling guilty about expressing that concern. |

Wouldn't it be a great day if people could just count their blessings,be grateful and accept what is IS. Off to find some quiet and some tranquility.. I think I deserve some down time. I just took break from Adamtopia because I've felt that my drama is not needed here. Seriously IMHO it was good decision for me and this forum. Sometimes it's better to take a step back than to worry for someone handsome, young, happy in love, with career far better than mine. Little perspective is a good thing. |

You know the saying "It ain't over til the fat lady sings" until the OFFICIAL announcement comes out there is still a chance. I'm going to weigh in with my prediction and if I turn out to be wrong then 'cest la vie'.
I think the panel will be Mariah, Pharrell, Adam and Keith and I think Adam and Pharrell have been signed for a while and it's really only the 4th spot that's been up for grabs. Not going to bore everyone with my reasoning just wanted to put it out there so that if by some miracle I happen to be right I can brag on my prediction skills. LOL

LOL...Mainstream America or Middle America? Or, is Middle America the Mainstream America??
The AI viewers are not STUPID, they just like their winners to be a boy/girl next door, preferably playing a guitar and wearing plaid. Let's face it, the show is never about the best talent winning, although the best talents did win in a few occasions.  |

This site is dedicated to someone whose goal is to be a pop international superstar, I don't see how we can not comment on how this goal is progressing. I find it interesting.
