ITA. The endlessly long drawn-out Idol games crap has dragged on LONG ENOUGH to the point where I swing between rage and complete apathy. Actually, after all these weeks and weeks and weeks it's mostly numbness. Try this, helped me a lot re: the whole Idol palaver :D (just a joke darlings  ) |

I'm a believer! He's got something on Idol - just can't pinpoint which job.
Meanwhile all of the speculation has been positive for me and turned inward with this question - what's the equivalent of getting an Idol judge spot in my life and am I going all out for it with fierce, fearless and optimistic effort? With an attitude of "no trespassing, my ass. Wait till you get a load of me!

My big rant...For the first time in weeks ,I feel a sense of calm. I think Adam's new single on the radio so helped. It's so Adam & It's so good. I think he's on his way now with his own music.
The Idol thing is so unlike Adam, to me,It's such a phony ,sponsor driven,at any cost, con job. IMHO The contestants are just vehicles to sell products and usually the best singer doesn't win. Kind of like where the reality show competition,compete to the death ,theme of' The Hunger Games' got It's ideas.
Adam is so much better than this whole money routed concept. The show theme ,Phoenix who rises from the ashes to claim his/her prize among flowing confetti and wild cheers from the audience. Most contestants never to be heard from again.
Adam changed all that for me ,because he is REAL and I believe that he has the actual star power to break out of this circus like atmosphere.
If Adam comes in second to Enrique as judge,I will watch the show for his honesty, &his charm,but mainly I want him singing ,not judging. If he doesn't get the gig ,I am not disappointed ,but in a way relieved. It's taken me a while to feel this way. I guess all the crazy reality show competition,and being strung along has made me feel that Idol can take it and shove it.Not to say I wouldn't like to see that beautiful face on TV twice a week,I would love that. but if that's not in the cards..The future may take Adam more time to get established ,but it will be genuine and it will be lasting.
I want Adam to" Shine When He Wants to Shine",No pepsi or coke in his hand,to drink or sell. I know it's all about money and exposure,but there is also doing the work and serving the time,record by record ,city by city,person,by person.
Adam will be in our sights for a very long time.. he is just that good.
Maybe I sound bitter,but I have to say I just can't stand these BS reality talent shows anymore. Maybe I'm just licking my wounds and being defensive.
I thank AI for giving us this talented man,but I don't thank Idol for the long delay and for making Adam second choice for the judgeship.
I think I'm going through the stages of grief. :-/

TP just screams "AFL, bitches!!" where as BTIKM and NCOE were just like "ohai I have an album out by the way" |
