Here is one paragraph about why negotiations with Brad broke down. There was another one where the writer specifically questioned if other stars would sign for less than NM. It was one of the reasons why we had a big discussion on if Enrique would take it for 3-4 million. Urban, who told an Australian radio station that he was in talks to join Idol, has agreed to take a third seat for a salary of $3 million to $4 million, according to the source. Former country contender Brad Paisley apparently dropped out of the conversation because he wanted to match Minaj's pay scale, which was a nonstarter with Idol brass.Okay, that says nothing about offering Enrique the job for 4 million dollars. That is exactly what the last rumor from EW said. Once again, I agree with you that we have a bunch of rumors so far, but today's EW article was new information. It could be BS, but it was still NEW. I think there's also an article / rumors that said that they will offer $4mil for the 4th judge position. Did I remember that correctly?.. (gosh .. so many rumors.. I will just be quite and wait in my corner) |

So, whether Adam will get the idol job or not is depending on Enrique. I hate that he is treated as a 2nd choice, a substitute. All the news about idol wants Enrique so much just pissed me off. I used to have mixed feeling about Adam’s being an idol judge, but now I’d rather he distance himself from idol.
I have tremendous trust in him that he can still be a worldwide superstar without any help from that show.

It's just a stupid show . STUPID . At first I wanted the Idol gig for him , but now I think it's stupid . And don't come at me saying "Oh Idol is the only hope for Adam , Idol will help him be a superstar" NO . look at Mariah and her new single . I think the only good thing that happened to Mariah on this gig is the load of money they paid her . But success ? nope . I haven't even seen the "Champion" music video here in Syria . Or was it "triumphant" ?? Whatevs . It's stupid . Trespassing is gonna rise on it's own . It's on radio on a important (I guess?) radio channel , even before the radio adds were announced , has this happened to any other single off of trespassing ? |

You're right! TP just screams "AFL, bitches!!" where as BTIKM and NCOE were just like "ohai I have an album out by the way" hahahahaha!! but you see now it is "everyone knows I have an album out right? ok now here comes AFL bitches" in my opinion trespassing shouldn't have been the 1st single. BTIKM was the right one. It gave him the chance to introduce the album (dark and light side), show his voice, visit the radio stations, check radio's response. Maybe trespassing could be the 2nd single but then again Queen and summer were ahead and he couldn't have promoted it correctly. Also if trespassing was 1st or 2nd BBC radio1 wouldn't have played it like they didn't play NCOE. Now with NCOE preparing the ground trespassing has a better chance (not a guarantee, of course). BTIKM and NCOE were easier to be sacrificed than trespassing. I want it all and I want it now but I have the patience of a donkey (Greek expression of the day). |
