go riight NOW to B104 voting for TP Trespassing was just played on B104!! YEP Trespassing won 90% of votes and was played....yeah :Clap: now onto wSTW (93.7) ( results should be announced at 10 pm) to see if Trespassing won that contest last night. |

If that's what happen, guess it makes sense that Adam didn't say anything. Either way, Adam couldn't and won't say anything since he has to maintain that good relationships with Fox/Idol. Yup, I definitely think Adam said no I hope this is the case. However, if so, why all the teasing about whether he got the "green light" (which I still wonder if it had been a miscommunication or maybe even a different interpretation of what that implies--something that is inevitable but just waiting for elements to be in place or proper protocol to be followed, similar to a traffic light) and crossing fingers in Tweets? |

People keep assuming that Idol decided to pass on Adam but it appears that Shirley Halperin may have been accurate when she reported on 8/17/12 that Adam was a "big star" who was not interested in Idol. A few Finnish fans have said that Sauli indicated that Adam was not interested in doing Idol in yesterday's Tutka Roadshow. Hopefully we will have a translation soon. Unless someone has a source for Idol passing on Adam, it remain an assumption -- and is looking more like a wrong assumption. So do you think he changed his mind in the last week, before the announcement, or do you think he lied when he said how much he would like to do it! Maybe he talked with Steven Tyler... :  |

People keep assuming that Idol decided to pass on Adam but it appears that Shirley Halperin may have been accurate when she reported on 8/17/12 that Adam was a "big star" who was not interested in Idol. LOL Adam was thrilled about the possibility for several weeks and was "stressing about it" a week before they announced Randy and two weeks AFTER Shirley's article on 8/17/12. Adam wanted the job, I don't care where Shirley Halperin put him in her little graph. I definitely believe Adam wanted the job right up until the bitter end. I don't believe what Shirley put in her graph. |

No. If Brian is doing this for Adam -- which makes sense because he is Adam's music director. Brian is the one who would work with Barry Squire to find a drummer. Brian is tweeting it to get the word out. It might be for someone else -- they both have also worked for Rihanna -- but not as a MD. THE ADAM CONNECTION IS AN ASSUMPTION. ETA: Brian is Musical Director for Bruno Mars, Adam Lambert, Taio Cruz, Jason Derulo, John West, Andy Grammer. Of that list only Adam has worked with Barry Squire. Brian plays keys for Rihanna and would not be seeking a new musician for her. I believe this is for Adam. Isaac is drummer for another band, Duff McKagan's Loaded, that has tour dates starting in October. See duff-loaded.com/thetaking/tours/Thanks! That solves that question. |

I would love to think that he turned it down, but his interviews and tweets point to him wanting it! Maybe he changed his mind during the negotiations ??? Maybe they didn't let him to be his honest himself ??? Sauli didn't mention AI, but he did talk about the fake in American reality TV shows and how they give judges different roles to play. |

Ok My guess about Adam and AI.. Adam seemed surprised and delighted when he was mentioned as a candidate and then the idea took on a life of its own. I think Adam then went for the job,thinking he could, as he said,"multitask". I think someone at Idol gave him the hope that he would be picked as a judge.. that's why Adam said he had a job when he gets back to the states.A bit of chaos took over at fox,with top people coming and going, and with different ideas for the following season.
Adam was put on hold,It took forever to make a judge decision. IMHO,when Enrique was asked to be a judge instead of Adam,I think Adam got annoyed, but I do believe he was still the backup. AI might have offered Adam too little & I think Adam said No right before Enrique did. I still think Randy was the last man standing.
Now I know absolutely nothing ,but this is my theory.In any event,I'm sure AI is still very important to Adam,he owes the show a lot . Hopefully he will be a mentor from time to time and he will sing his new singles on the show.
I'm sure everyone has their own thoughts on the matter and unless Adam writes an autobiography in the future ,I doubt that we'll ever know what happened.
