[/quote] The other concert was the one at National Harbor, right? Wasn't that some sort of overnight package deal? I thought it was expensive, something like $240. I also think the prices for 9:30 club are high for your average person who wants to see Adam. I realize it's a benefit and that's the reason but for a Monday night in DC, I don't see people rushing to pay that much. Also, for that price, personally, I want a seat :-) Just me. I hope it sells out over the weekend! |

I think the dancers got better, but the show didn't. His manipulation is even more obvious on SYTYCD than it is on Idol. Sadly, I expect SYTYCD will probably be cancelled and this season was the last. The ratings were really bad. I wonder if Nigel just doesn't like Adam. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't believe Adam's music was ever used for routines or background music. I've heard that David Cook's, Kris's, and Haley's music was used. Assuming Kelly's was used since she is everywhere. But I don't remember anything from Adam. Even DWTS used FYE and IIHY. And The Voice and Sing Off used WWFM. Hell, it seems as if international reality or variety shows use Adam's music a lot more than they do here. I don't think Nigel does like Adam.. Adam appeared on SYTYCD after the AMA fiasco.. He sang WWFM and Nigel made a comment about Adam not trying anything on his show.. I never forgave him for the remark. Also when we were tweeting to get Adam the judgeship, On Idol ,Nigel said it won't help .. etc. I can't stand that phony Nigel,he makes me sick . |

And add me to those who believe that Randy back as a judge was a completely last minute change.
Nigel also said early on when asked about the rumors of Adam judging that he hadn't heard anything about it, and that the fans probably made it up. I haven't forgiven him for that---it was an assy thing to say.

[/quote] The most expensive package with the meet and greet is sold out.. THis is not an Adam gig.. this is a Maryland marriage equality gig.. If people don't support that ,what are they saying? I'm more worried about the lack of support for gay rights. Where is the LGBT community to support their cause?? Adam is only a bit of the draw.He's doing his part to help and probably is not getting paid.. It's for a charity. IMHO This is not about ADAM. |

Yep, yep. ITA about all the Nigel loathing. I felt his tweets were very disrespectful to Adam and his fans. It seems this was going on while the Queen gigs were happening. I felt cheered by Simon Fuller being in the audience, but then finding out Nigel was nvolved just pissed me off.

Wasn't Adam's AI season the first one without Nigel? I know he was all about "the David's" the year before. Maybe there is a little jealousy/resentment built up from Season 8 being so successful and buzzed about. Thanks to Adam, season 8 on Idol got a ton of media attention and Nigel wasn't a part of it.
