Sorry, cannot believe we are still talking about Adam and Idol..  Itza over. We consider Adam's band dispensable, but Adam has always stated that how important his band members are to him. That they are his family on the road and off. It looks like Isaac has some commitments and that is the biz, but I wouldn't shove him under the rug for good. Hopefully, he will be back with Adam when he can. There is something about solidarity in the people who are backing you that gives a performer a reliability factor. So personally, I never see any band member leaving as 'eh..whatever'..JMO Adam has said he picks his 'crew' as much for their attitude and vibe as for their talent. Keisha has a big mouth. That is all.  |

I think the dancers got better, but the show didn't. His manipulation is even more obvious on SYTYCD than it is on Idol. Sadly, I expect SYTYCD will probably be cancelled and this season was the last. The ratings were really bad. I wonder if Nigel just doesn't like Adam. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't believe Adam's music was ever used for routines or background music. I've heard that David Cook's, Kris's, and Haley's music was used. Assuming Kelly's was used since she is everywhere. But I don't remember anything from Adam. Even DWTS used FYE and IIHY. And The Voice and Sing Off used WWFM. Hell, it seems as if international reality or variety shows use Adam's music a lot more than they do here. As much as I don't like Nigel, but I don't think that has anything to do with Nigel. It's a work of art, don't think exec producers can force the choreographer to do something like that. The choreographer chooses the music for their own choreography. It's their own career and their arts. |

Wasn't Adam's AI season the first one without Nigel? I know he was all about "the David's" the year before. Maybe there is a little jealousy/resentment built up from Season 8 being so successful and buzzed about. Thanks to Adam, season 8 on Idol got a ton of media attention and Nigel wasn't a part of it. ^^ THIS |

Haley's song "Free", which didn't have much airplay, was used as background music. I don't think a choreographer has anything to do with that. I thought Travis liked Adam. Didn't he tweet him once? And although possible, it is hard for me to believe that a choreographer chose an unknown song like "Fade into Me", which subsequently tanked when it went to radio. Seems more plausible that it was suggested by Nigel. I know "Jar of Hearts" was discovered on that show but I just didn't feel "Fade into Me" was a song on the same level (i.e. I thought it was very generic). |
