Have you noticed not one singer from Idol is performing..Radio is arrogant,self serving and not creative. After whacking my hand off until almost 12 midnight,we were played with. Adam was at #1 for forever and they ignored him and they ignored his fans.I am furious at Most of Radio.If not for Adam ,I would never have a thing to do with the DJs or the suits. To think all Adam did was Kiss a guy at the AMAs and look what he got...Wonder if Billie and Green Day will be invited back.. They were dissed and they got MAD.How does Adam remain so cool when Radio has dissed him hundreds of times? |

Q3, your theory explains NOTHING about why Adam cleared and kept his September schedule clear until after Idol. He is NOT a stupid man and does not have stupid management. Why on Earth would he do this if he was only a remote chance and not have any real reason to believe he was under serious contention? He alluded to "stuff," or "a job" that has never transpired. He was over the moon about it and then suddenly stuff starts getting booked once Idol is a done deal. I don't buy it at all the theory that Adam was not in serious contention AT ALL. I think they had him as the consistency factor all along and planned to clean the table all along. He was going to be the big reveal, but things got sticky with Mariah once they signed Nicki. (Who I think they paid way too much money for.) Randy was dragged back because of Mariah – that I DO believe and I DO believe he was doing it for cheaper than he had previously. For him to get paid both through Mariah's salary and his own is skeezy to the Nth degree. IMO. Yes, Yes and Yes to all your points. The only small difference in opinions, (and that's okay  ) is that I can't blame Randy for taking the job. The economy sucks, he has a wife and kids. Randy took a job that keeps him home and keeps him supporting his family. I can't blame him for accepting millions of dollars for a job he has had for over a decade. I blame the idiots who thought it was a good idea to bring him back as a judge, but I understand why Randy would accept the offer. |

I think it is interesting, that Shirley had the graphic, where Adam was in the "not interested" category. As good all your arguments are, that it was last minute decision against Adam, I had to seek out for argument, why Adam would turn it down, if asked. #1: he and his management anticipated the negative reception of the new judging panel and didn't want A to be associated with it #2: The exposure AI would bring A would not really kick in until next year and it would not help promoting his current single, it actually could hurt the promo, because there would be a big amount of time this year reserved for AI. He would also not be able to perform it on shows like X-Factor or other competing shows with celebrity performers. Without AI a performance is at least possible, no guaranty it will happen tho. If Trespassing will not be a hit either, it will get more difficult for the next single (if he would have been judge I'm sure they would release another one) #3: It is not guarantied how much AI would help him anyway. #4: Maybe it was money or some point in the contract. I don't think he would decline just because of the money, but it definitely could be a part of the equation |

I looked up the 9:30 club and it seems everybody has to stand. Sounds like a cocktail party. Does anyone know how many people can attend?
