I looked up the 9:30 club and it seems everybody has to stand. Sounds like a cocktail party. Does anyone know how many people can attend? "Unless a show is advertised as seated, which is rare, our shows are general admission and standing room only. A very small number of bar stools are available on a first-come, first-serve basis in the balcony. Patrons with special needs should call 202.265.0930 in advance to make arrangements." I'd like to know, too.

About this thing with Issac (or Tommy, or Ashley) I must say that I'm glad that I was Gackt (japanese singer) fan far longer than I'm Adam's fan. First thing you have to learn with Gackt is that he changes his musicians every tour (only two of them - You and lead guitarist Chachamaru - are permanent). Not to mention that he has two other bands in the meantime - completely separate projects from the main band. He taught me that the only continuity you have when you are solo vocalist fan is that vocalist. He is the main ingredient of the show. So, I like and respect all musicans that are playing with Gackt or Adam, but I will not miss any of them. Btw. Gackt, like Adam, refer to his band as "familly" and is very loyal as a friend. I do not write this to say that being fan of a support band is bad or stupid - because it's not. I'm writing this as a warning - musicians coming and going is a reality of being a fan of a solo singer. And it has nothing to do with Adam being loyal or not. Being musicians is their job - one day they will get other offers, and they will leave. And IMHO that has also nothing to do with loyalty. This is how life goes.

Sorry, cannot believe we are still talking about Adam and Idol.. Itza over. We consider Adam's band dispensable, but Adam has always stated that how important his band members are to him. That they are his family on the road and off. It looks like Isaac has some commitments and that is the biz, but I wouldn't shove him under the rug for good. Hopefully, he will be back with Adam when he can. There is something about solidarity in the people who are backing you that gives a performer a reliability factor. So personally, I never see any band member leaving as 'eh..whatever'..JMO Adam has said he picks his 'crew' as much for their attitude and vibe as for their talent. Keisha has a big mouth. That is all. Isaac is touring with his own band that's why he has to leave Adam's band. I like Isaac too and would love to see him back, but it's not fair for the new drummer. Adam will treat his new drummer as a new member of his family. When LP went out on tour with his band, he was replaced by Isaac and Isaac stays with Adam until now. Adam and Isaac will stay friends, but I don't think Adam will let go his new drummer when Isaac's done with his own tour. I realize that, Adamme..thanks, bb! I do understand that Isaac has always had another commitment. But what disturbed me was what I was hearing... band members are dispensable. In Adam's case, I think that he is looking for true connection in his circle of bandmates, so replacing someone in his family IS a big deal. And I know, I'm not Adam. We'll see as with all things..the drummer might be a temp like Kevin on keys or we may have a new drummer.

You're right, we need to make a concerted effort to get back more often and bring a little happy. Isaac's commitments with Loaded don't start until Oct. 24 and only go through November, so I think they are just looking for a temporary replacement. I'm thinking Isaac will go to D.C. and Australia. Hard to know if full band is going to China or not. If the plan is to release Trespassing Oct. 1ish, I REALLY hope Adam comes right back for promo. Another theory is that they'll wait until after he is back from Melbourne, so therefore not officially releasing or doing promo until after PLL. As long as his ass is performing it on TV, either way is fine with me.

Q3, your theory explains NOTHING about why Adam cleared and kept his September schedule clear until after Idol. He is NOT a stupid man and does not have stupid management. Why on Earth would he do this if he was only a remote chance and not have any real reason to believe he was under serious contention? He alluded to "stuff," or "a job" that has never transpired. He was over the moon about it and then suddenly stuff starts getting booked once Idol is a done deal. I don't buy it at all the theory that Adam was not in serious contention AT ALL. I think they had him as the consistency factor all along and planned to clean the table all along. He was going to be the big reveal, but things got sticky with Mariah once they signed Nicki. (Who I think they paid way too much money for.) Randy was dragged back because of Mariah – that I DO believe and I DO believe he was doing it for cheaper than he had previously. For him to get paid both through Mariah's salary and his own is skeezy to the Nth degree. IMO. Yes, Yes and Yes to all your points. The only small difference in opinions, (and that's okay ) is that I can't blame Randy for taking the job. The economy sucks, he has a wife and kids. Randy took a job that keeps him home and keeps him supporting his family. I can't blame him for accepting millions of dollars for a job he has had for over a decade. I blame the idiots who thought it was a good idea to bring him back as a judge, but I understand why Randy would accept the offer. I find it hard, if not impossible, to believe that someone who has pulled in millions of dollars for several years would need to worry about supporting his family. Besides, I thought it was understood that he would have a mentoring position which I imagine would pay him well. I think he just hogged a seat that someone new could have done more justice to instead of another year of "Yo dawg - you are in it to win it." BLAH. :-/
