It may have been "OT", but, seriously, thanks for bringing it over. That little guy is really something! Here's a newer video on SONY/Philippines facebook from last week. The kid attracted SONY's attention and this is the result: "Roel Manlangit from Valencia City, Bukidnon tried out to be part of the singing contest for the Sony Caravan. With his talent and determination, he wowed the crowd and the Sony Management. After winning the local competition, he was invited to be the front act of succeeding Sony Caravan Events"www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=484551474896202(Sorry, cannot imbed video from facebook, so this is the link. Well worth the watching!) Wow, from the streets to the stage..what an experience for this young man..thanks, Jazzhands! The FB vid is well worth watching IMO..

When Adam tweeted the Trust a Bitch photo I thought he thought there was still a good chance. Since the surprise Randy announcement I've been thinking more along the lines that he was saying "I didn't like what they offered" or "talked them into something else". But I'm probably wrong on my timeline.
I do think that whatever he was working on for Sept fell thru whether it was Idol or something else. But that is the breaks, I don't think he got the duet he wanted on Trespassing either although I enjoy Sam Sparrow on Shady a lot.
The selective erasure of bits and pieces of the ambien twitter party was rather out of character and maybe in the morning he thought it was a bit too personal since his filter was completely non-censored. He knew that cat was out of the bag on the Glambert sites though. Thanks to Wal I just looked back over Adamtopia records and his editing was very very selective and I think the guy who doesn't party before concerts because he owes his fans his best self was a bit aghast and his professionalism said those were definitely ambien induced. It's good to read back over because for someone on truth serum he put out a telling slip about the suits weighing various factors and that he didn't blame them.
Like several have said before, he's a pro at auditioning. Sometimes you have the skills but you still aren't the right fit for the part. It's all show biz. I do hope he'll be compensated in some way by the show or the suits (Xfactor etc) because it does look like he held his schedule open just for them.

For session musicians and musicians in a backing band, it is a job. It might be a great job with wonderful co-workers. It may be a suck-y job playing music you hate for someone who is an SOB. The former are delightful gigs, the latter pay the bills and you just tough it out.
A solo performer cannot afford to keep all his/her musicians on permanent salary so they will be available whenever needed. A musician cannot afford to go for weeks or months between gigs with their preferred solo performer. Unless you are a member of a professional band or orchestra, being a musician is being somewhat of a vagabond, always looking for that next gig.
If Isaac is available the next time Adam tours, Adam may ask for him. Or, he may be happier with another drummer he has worked with and ask them. That's just the biz.
