If Adam records Adam#2 with 0nly "huge names in the industry" as he did with his first album, he will be dead in the water. Those more famous than him will always get the first credit. He has to show that he can make an album based on his own artistic vision, his own brand, so the industry can truly identify "Adam Lambert music" I believe that is exactly what he wants to do with this album, and that is what he will do. He will collaborate with some of his old favorites, for sure, Max Martin, Ryan Tedder, but I am really excited to see what Adam, and the lesser known artists come up with. Cannot. Wait. Yep...

Another article that PH was not at that party: (written by Rowe from PF) 4evrmomof4 Linda Ladden RT @starsceleb: Seems Adam Lambert wasn’t kicked to the curb by Lady Gaga after all? tinyurl.com/3v96s2j (via @twazzup)

Well, WTF do I know, honestly, but I think the different opinions here reflect the puzzle Adam is trying to work out in his head, too. Big names or up-and-comers? Sure-fire hits or edgy alt music? Pop(ular) or eclectic? And how to make it all sound like Adam Lambert? Yikes.
Given that Adam has said he wants to be a "rock stah" and everything he does seems to strive towards becoming big in the industry, I'd think he definitely wants to have radio hits on his next album. He did say he was "writing hits" with Tedder. Sounds like he's pretty determined. The success of WWFM paved the way for an easier path for his next singles, and the fact that he specifically cited WWFM-type songs tells me he wants radio success.
At the same time, the collabs he's done so far seem to indicate he's looking to cut a new edge and not just go for same old same old.
Somewhere along the way, I guess he'll find a way to balance it. As others have said, I trust his instincts, and I am VERY optimistic.

Thanks all for tonite's discussion on album 2 and the everchanging state of music. Riding the new wave that will be Adam and other intriguing artists will be a thrill. Whatever one's personal preferences are for this upcoming album, we had articulate and respectful exchanges. I appreciate all of you for that! Goodnite! And Q3,

He will collaborate with some of his old favorites, for sure, Max Martin, Ryan Tedder, but I am really excited to see what Adam, and the lesser known artists come up with. Cannot. Wait. Dead in the water? Like Adam's first album that has sold 1.3 million worldwide? Like Adam's first single that has sold over 3 million worldwide and garnered him a Grammy nomination? No one cared that he didn't write WWFM. Did Pink get all the credit for WWFM? Who got the credit for IIHY? Sleepwalker? These songs were Adam's songs. Does Adam really have to show right now, at this stage of the game, that he can "make his own album"? I fear that many are going to be disappointed if this 2nd album turns out to be full of Max Martin/Ryan Tedder type pop tracks or if it contains songs that other artists wrote. What if there are songs from other artists again on this next album? What if the singles come from other songwriters? It doesn't mean there can't be MORE of Adam's songwriting on this next cd. Having more, but not all, of the songwriting credits can still show growth. It doesn't have to be an all or nothing type endeavor and it doesn't have to come all at once.

One of the things I marveled at Adam for was having his vision, executing and staying on point. Even those last GNT shows...would have been so easy for him to do something vocally different, even just in encore....but he didn't! Loved it as it showed he had a plan and stuck with it.
I TOTALLY trust his instinct for #2
