Oh yah ...cute/funny/spunky comment Adam... like those jokes he made off the cuff that night he could not sleep (since deleted) So...is Tommy recently single?...if not Adam's "joke" may not be as funny to his "gal friend". Puts lots of new thoughts out there for Tommy groupies ..and I don't even want to go there.... But it puts the hotness in the right "direction" / not Adam lol |

Well, I was like that and I know I had to conform to succeed in the world I live in now. It was devastating to my personality at the time but thats the world. Change or get left out in the cold. No business was going to hire me in my wild child days so I did what I had to do. I think Adam has done that to a certain extent. What ever it takes! I just hope he remains himself. I will love him no matter what!!!!  ETA: I would like to add I am more myself than ever. Adam has done that for me! I would say that Adam pretty much let loose in the GNT. I mean, really, what more could he have done - strip nekked and have wild sex right there on the stage? ;D And it bothers me when fans sometimes say that "Adam is not being Adam." Of course he is. He is always Adam. He is like a well-cut diamond - beautiful and sparkling from any angle. Adam has so many facets, and all of them are perfect and authentic and brilliant. Every time we see Adam, he is being Adam. Nothing false about this amazing man.  Thinking about it, even the scary AMA performance was Adam - over-excited and hyped up and feeling something to prove - as he basically said later. But still Adam. I was just thinking about the AMA performance and the sexual stuff didn't bother me, but what did was the aggressiveness. The smirky, wink, look at me Adam disappeared and a very aggressive Adam took his place. I think had the performance been more like the video there might not have been such a backlash. I don't know if this makes any sense to anyone else, but that is the impression I carry with me from that particular performance. I think Adam is always himself, but I think there was a lot of anger in that performance too that I had never seen in Adam before, but maybe it's just me!
Q3 comment: No problem with this comment but we are NOT going to rehash the AMA performance. This is the news thread. There are other places on this forum to discuss all things Adam. Thanks! |

Radio stations do not use some mysterious formula to build playlists -- they have a target market that appeals to certain advertisers, they track the audience, and the design a playlist that attracts and retains their target audience. Hopefully radio listeners want to hear Trespassing. I think they will. When stations do online request shows like UMixIt -- they track not only the requests but who is requesting and where they are. So if Trespassing is getting to #1 with no support from the Chicago area, it may not matter how many wacks it gets. I need some help here, please: Is this the 'whacking' station? Meaning, no regular requests, but you request during the show? If that is correct, can we, the Europeans, whack with you or is it better to keep it local? Because I wanted to request but I couldn't find any forms, or whatever they're called. Is this where Trespassing doesn't get played although it spends more time at #1 than other songs who get played? If it is correct, can someone keep the track of those timings and issue an official complaint to the station? Or would that be pointless? Thanks. It gets played when the game's going on, and hits #1, but rarely ever again, and certainly not beyond that staion. An official complaint won't make a difference, but that's just my feeling. I don't know why US radio plays some songs, and doesn't play others. They say that they didn't get a huge response in their personal surveys for Adam, but I don't believe them. ncoe, and, now, trp, are great songs. They're no less appealing than what IS being played, so a personal survey per station, ALL proving the two songs were unappealing, stretches credibility. Something else is going on, and that something is a mystery. Both wwfm and iihy worked beyond requests. wwfm was added before any requests happened, before the fans even knew the label had switched to it. iihy had a lot to do with the video, but the comparison is moot, as it appeared right after wwfm. One successful song seems to breed another. I'm starting to think that radio does not respond to "unusual" demands. Since Adam has been away for a while, he's an unusual demand. Yes, one successful song lays the groundwork for the next release. But that is just one way songs get a shot. Trespassing has not even gone for Playlist adds yet. The first step is that the song needs to win these countdowns and get some airplay, and generate some positive feedback. Then it needs to go for adds -- and hopefully it will get a lot of adds. Fans can help, RCA's promo team can push it, Adam can promote it, but ITA the song really needs to do the work. And IMO this song, in the new radio edit version has a real shot! And I am not biased at all.  |

Are we still doing much on the VH1 poll - Adam 46% MJ 54% or letting that go. I have been voting for the last hour and wondering if it counts every vote or recognizes repeaters.
