It's pretty damn sad. Why do peeps spew hate. I know on occasion I have really let my feelings be known. But this is family here. What goes on at ATOP, stays at ATOP (I know it is public, but ...still, a somewhat safe haven). I currently am dealing with one of my daughter's friends who stayed with us for 3 weeks out of the kindness of our hearts. He had no place to go. We fed him, paid for entertainment and provided him a place to stay and a base to look for a job. After leaving us, a month later, he is now harassing us with shit about our daughter, which by the way is not true. What has this world come to? What in the hell happened to graciousness and being grateful for little things? My husband is always quick to remark, "No good deed goes unpunished!" Yes, he's cynical but it comes from first-hand experience..... Sometime you do something good and the outcome is not as expected. But then there are times when you help someone and it makes a positive difference. *** I cannot take a position on whether Darik over reacted because I do not know what happened. But he was very specific to call out SOME fans.... Darik Kristofer @darikkristofer I care about @adamlambert, but SOME of his fans are too much. I can't say 1 thing or ask 1 question w/o being attacked. #Obnoxious Regarding PD's making negative comments --- Gaga fans earned their name MONSTERS. Rihanna fans are routinely called out by PD's for being rude. And for the Idol fans amoung us let me list just a few names --- Clay Aiken, Taylor Hicks, David Archuleta, and David Cook. Clay Aiken fans set new standards for PD hate. Some radio stations had to block phone calls from a few of the most aggressive fans. *** And PD's are not stupid -- they know the difference between a few loud, rude fans and organized fan action. And Darik clearly understands this is a couple of fans. He tweeted this: Darik Kristofer @darikkristofer @adamlambert fans=awesome. That is all. Except for a couple meanies.

I think somebody hurt Darik's feelings so he tweeted about the Glamberts. Looks like he is over it now and the above tweet says it all.

Yahoo has today on its front page an article titled: The Ten Habits of Remarkably Charismatic People. smallbusiness.yahoo.com/advisor/the-ten-habits-of-remarkably-charismatic-people.htmlThey guy who wrote this must have studied Adam for his research, I thunk. It fits him to a tee. And the result is a fan video today that echos that charismatic leadership in every step. One thing that strikes me about this video and others I have seen who are in a similar vein, is how little they are about the music. They are about Adam the person, and they are about the message he stands for. They also are about the results Adam achieves. He changes people, he inspires people, he brings people together. Music seems like his toolkit, not the ultimate objective. And thus he can branch out and use other tools, as he obviously has already done. His visual image is part of his brand, both in clothing as well as in make-up. His eloquence and depth of thought gives him other avenues to shine. He is branching out in the areas of acting and fashion expertise and even in music itself he clearly plays on many different platforms. Queen and own music and covers and concerts and tours and now with PLL - TV. But no matter what platform he uses, in the end people gravitate to Adam not for one specific thing, like say funk music, but rather because they want to surround themselves with what he is giving his fans, independent of what specifically it is he is doing at the time. It's his charisma, and he must have known this early on. The lyrics " I make bank of their devotion " had struck me early on too, but not so much because of the bank part, I understand that artists need to make a living off of their art and the dynamic or conflict that creates, but what struck me is that he knew and anticipated that he could rely on 'devotion'. How did he know that? And how come he today is surprised about our devotion, when 6 years ago he already had a hunch about it, enough of a hunch to project and propel it into existence via his song?

Darik Kristofer þ@DarikKristofer @adamlambert fans=awesome. That is all. Except for a couple meanies. I appreciate that he clarified this. I think some fans think they are Adam's mommies and go ballistic and on the attack over any little perceived slight. Hell, I sure don't want to be his mommy. ;D

"You asked about Idol job when he wasn't chosen. A bit hurtful?"This was on twitter. Can it be it ??? Probably. If it is what inspired his comment, I'd say he over reacted. I really doubt that comment would end up generating that response. And he did not respond to her, so it is a leap. We do not know what happened. For all we know it was an irate phone call.

Trying to figure out what caused Darik to tweet about "SOME fans" pulled me into a dark pit of fandom. YIPES!! Memo to self -- stay away from the cray.

Just wanted to say thanks to Q3 for the musings and Animated for the art. I really enjoyed that. Yesterday, while shopping with my daughter in Suzy Shier, I heard what I assume is a dance remix of NCOE -- no wonder it did well in the clubs! It sounded great. OT, but I love recaps and I was wondering if Catzmadam ever got out of Moscow? I know she was having computer problems, but I would hate to miss her recaps. She posted about it a few days ago! ;D adamtopia.com/index.cgi?board=daily&action=display&thread=1128&page=17Thanks Betty. I hope Catz finds the time some day to finish the recap and I get to read it!!!

Some RL
I heard Adam yesterday, the first time EVER from another source than my computer or ipod. At the train station, being late, buying my ticket from the machine with an eye on the clock to make sure I would catch the train ..
... NEVER CLOSE MY EYES, MY EYES, NEVER ... went through me like lightning!!!!!
I stopped the ticket process, grabbed my card, rushed to the store and asked "is that radio or a CD??" ... well, it was a CD, but verrrrry nice anyway.... thanked the girl there who was quite confused ... and I still got the train ;D
ETA: ooops, of course I have heard him live, the "another source than" refers to that I have never heard one of his songs here or anyone I asked ever heard him on radio
