You know, it makes me feel good to see him so loved and respected in these other countries  . If he ends up having to go the international route I'm kind of OK with it. Maybe it's just going to take longer in the US. All I really care about is that he keeps his major label deal. |

I truly hope alidol, or anyone else for that matter, won't be offended with the pronouns. FYI in Finnish we do have only one pronoun in 3rd person singular for persons (the other one is for things as you have 'it'). Everyone is referred to as 'hän' and I might make a mistake very easily. I believe it is the same situation in China. I had a Chinese house mate a couple of summers and she had the hardest time figuring out when to use "she" versus "he". She said that they did not have similar pronouns in Chinese. So I don't think alidol will take any offense. |

And Queen had to make it big internationally before England accepted them. So Adam is in good company. But why is it your own country does not recognize greatness first? |

I think the Asian devotion has a lot to do with cultural differences. Family and people are respected and treated with kindness, unlike many American who have become so entitled, ill-mannered and somewhat hateful. Belittling and teasing have become the norm.

I remember talking with my oldest son about the radio play situation here for Adam after AI and he said, back then, that he felt Adam would probably have to make it big internationally first before the US would acknowledge that he is a star. Seems like he was right on this. Well....you go get the WORLD Adam!! 8-) |

Just caught up on the thread. I love Adam in the Chinese jacket. He looked very comfortable in it; bet he likes it too. That banner that said "Adam Loves Sauli" was amazing! I'm guessing that the work that went into that would be mind boggling. So artsy and beautiful. The article about how few Idol's "make it" had a picture of William Hungs X'mas (?) album. It included Hung singing FYE! ;D I just had to comment so I could post this picture again....look at the body guard looking at AFL. Who can blame him. He even cleaned up a little bit for the event. I was thinking in the airport pics that Adam should give him a makeover.  |
