V. The Voice
"In modern times, all across the world, there was a search for “the voice”. The media emperors created programs to find real talent and called these unreal shows, “reality”. They assembled judges from the four corners of the earth. Seven years passed and “the voice” was not heard. Then on one day in September 2008, in San Francisco, a secret audition was held. Not surprisingly, I have learned it was during the Moon Festival. The judges were unanimous that they heard “the voice” and decided that it had to be revealed. Today, 4 years later, the same singer will perform on The Voice of China stage. Some things are meant to be. Some things are more than coincidence."awwww, Q3, THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! :2tears: :2tears: :2tears: And THANK YOU, maddie, for the fabulous moon cakes!!

One thing that helped advance Adam's career in China (and in Asia as a whole) was the movie epic 2012. It did not live up to boxoffice expectations here in the US, but overseas, particularly in Asia, it was a true blockbuster success. Don't forget that Adam sang "Time for Miracles" on the soundtrack of a film that audiences flocked to see in China, and many came away loving his voice and the song. The success of this song in reaching the Chinese was apparent when the host and the audience of the 80s talkshow sang the song to Adam.
I myself am a fan of TFM as it is a song that really makes use of Adam's vocal gifts. it is too bad that the movie was released too close to the release of Adam's first album, and the song became kind of a throw-away in this country.

Since I live in a city with a large and vibrant Chinese and Asian population, I'm going to have to go out and find some moon cakes today! The full moon is beautiful, too.

Another factor that helped Adam gain international notice, I believe, was the Michael Jackson movie THIS IS IT. If I remember correctly, Sony opened it with a trailer for 2012 that included a featurette on the making of the Time for Miracles video. So moviegoers in China, Russia, Japan, South Africa, etc. who went to see a film about Michael Jackson's aborted last tour got to catch a glimpse of a new world entertainer.
