I agree with you Aloha but in my movie, you wouldn't know would you because the Joe Gillis character is a desperate "ambivalent 'kept man' scriptwriter" who has a romantic relationship with a young innocent woman and a faded film star who was in his heyday when orientation was kept secret.

Finally my frustration is gone and I'm able to wallow in page one! Loved the Gates-Gate.....so cleverly funny! And the movie speculation? Hmmm, pretty far down the road I think. Music first. But I found something to swoon over and that's The Great Gatsby and What'll I Do? One of my favorite songs EVER! I have about 1000 favorite songs ever and this is definitely one. Not too OT - ties in with Q3's post.

ryderpat Add Elizabeth Taylor and you've got a good list going: Hollywood's Most Gorgeous Eyes: t.co/v97oO19 - who else? 5. Adam Lambert Is Everything! Singer, Songwriter, Dancer, Actor and Hopefully Model some day. Skimmed some of the comments..one person said she loved Adam's eyes because' you can see his heart through them'. AHHHHHH ;D

[Yeah, I'm firmly convinced that the perfect movie roll for Adam would be one that allows for comedy, and a degree of over the top ridiculousness, but where underlying all the fun is a bright, warm, goodhearted soul. I'm sure Adam could do many different kinds of rolls--I sure hear those of you panting for some good romantic melodrama (though the emo is not sooo much my thing, I see how sexy this could be)--but I'm not sure how well those would be received, critically. That's a much higher hurdle. But I feel confident the critics would totally and completely fall for a silly, warm, bighearted, positive, loving, wise-fool of an Adam. Some secondary roll in which he steals the movie with his charisma, humor, and smile. That would be wonderful. (I'm trying desperately to think of an example of the kind of role I'm thinking of--you know, where the reviews all say the movie was pretty good but so-and-so totally stole all the scenes he was in--he was lovely! There are like eight dancing around in the shadows of my mind, but I can't pull em out right now. But hopefully you get what I mean.) Something like Heath Ledger in A Knight's Tale? The movie was OK but Heath Ledger was delightful. Btw, I love Strictly Ballroom but I don't know what Baz Luhrmann would do with such a minimalistic environment that is necessary for JCS. I wouldn't mind finding out, though. Finally, sorry, Glamnana, but Colin Firth will forever be my Mr. Darcy.

All of this speculation about the movies is fun. I do have one hope, and it's not a criticism, just my own personal vision for adam's future. If the character is straight, I hope it is NOT rewritten gay for Adam. I want him to play straight characters straight and gay characters gay and all the permutations in between. He's got all of that in him and more. I want everyone to know what we do-- Adam is a multiple-faceted performer. Period. He is much, much more than his orientation.
