Was this discussed earlier in the thread? Adam is now following Interscope records. Isn't that a bit strange? Can you explain? I have no idea who/what Interscope records are and why we might think it odd. :-/ Interscope is another huge label with a lot of subsidiaries. American Idol nixed Sony this year and is using it's competitor, Interscope. Q3 ciomment: Minor correction -- posting here because I am behind in the thread. The contract is with Universal Music Group (UMG) the largest of the 4 major labels (Sony is #2). Interscope is part of UMG. |

Can you explain? I have no idea who/what Interscope records are and why we might think it odd. :-/ Why would Adam follow a reccord label that is not RCA? Oh....hmmm....so he knows what's going on with other artists he's interested in? Keeping tabs on the competition?? Haha! I don't know. |

They do a fabulous job of promoting their clients to radio, IMO! A few months ago, I think, there was a rumor (unfounded, at the time) that Interscope was trying to buyout Adam's contract. www.interscope.com/artists/default.aspx |

Did Interscope follow Adam after his appearance on Idol? Maybe Adam is just following back?
edit: I just checked. Interscope follows almost 78k people. I would guess that Adam is one of them.

Just got home an hour ago from Mayumi's and it was a fabulous weekend with fabulous Atopers and I have to tell you Mayumi is the perfect hostess. She worked tirelessly and there was always food and drinks available. Mr Mayumi is a sweetheart, so is Mr Mangocat. All of the Atopers are so much fun and to sit and listen to all the stories is mesemerizing. Needacoke with her southern belle drawl and the stories - I could listen forever. Same with Bamafan. But the crowd was racious and the time went by too quickly. We didn't focus on Adam all the time, and the lives of these Atopers is so interesting. I want to thank Adam for bringing us together. It's makes life worthwhile. Big thanks to Mayumi, she is the bestest!!!!!!!!! Yes! Mayumi is a fabulous, fabulous hostess, her media room is fabulous, the company was fabulous and the viewing party was, well, fabulous! |
