SCROLL AS THIS IS A RECAP OF AN "EPIC" WEEKEND
The last contingent left (Bama, Coke, justwishin and Smokey) about 2 hours ago and the house is eearily quiet after 2 full days of squeeing, eating, laughing, drinking and more squeeing. I miss my Atopians already.
The party officially began on Friday morning when M/M Mangokat and Rihanssu arrived after driving all night. After a well deserved nap, we had late lunch and soon after Coke and Bama arrived. It was fun just talking and listening to Adam. Then Cassie came and joined us for dinner at our favorite Japanese restaurant. We had fun with the cute Japanese guy who welcomed us and wearing a baseball cap with an A on it. Told him I liked his A and Bama pointed to her shirt and said, "But I have a big A" and we never let her forget the whole weekend that she had a big A.
After dinner, we had a sound check going over GNAFL's Idol Journey. We stopped short of top 2 (I'm glad because I didn't want to re-live the finals) because Babs12 and Ljsmack arrived. More hugs and stories then at around 1 AM, justwishin arrived. We didn't go to bed till almost 2 AM.
For Saturday's lunch, in keeping with the GNAFL mood, I prepared his favorite Filipino food that he mentioned in a few interviews - pancit and lumpia. Adam, this is for you baby - wish you were here.
The gals then got busy decorating our party room with beautiful wall hangings, posters, pictures and magazines all over the place. Nobody and little Nobody arrived followed by Smokey, Maitos, Lynneville and Mischa. For the matinee show, we watched the Nokia concert. Wow, that was beautiful and sexy!
Then it was time for the feast -we stuffed ourselves with lots of food, wine, beer and what-have-you's.
We all then seated ourselves to watch the main event -GNLive. We felt like we were there, screaming, chanting Adam, Adam, Adam, waved our glowsticks (thanks Lynneville), sang and jumped when HBIC told us. And during all this time, Smokey was making us her famous mudpies. Boy, that stuff is good! We were all sweaty and exhausted after the concert.
Coke will be posting a video on her you tube channel to share. No, we won't be invited to Dancing with the Stars anytime soon but we tried our best. Then more drinking and eating and partying!
Not sure what time we all went to bed but I am sure we went to bed all very happy.
After breakfast on Sunday, most everyone started getting ready to leave
....we had so much food I let everyone take munchies for the road.
Bama, Coke, justwishin and Smokey and I had a great time just telling stories, laughing at Coke's adventures, ate lunch and before we knew it, it was 2 PM. Wow, time really flies when you are having fun.
Ladies and gents (my wonderful DH and Mr. Mangokat), thank you for making this such a memorable weekend. Can't wait for the next event!
