It was so great to see you and the Bama girls and everyone else - Our little group from Knoxville has expanded and grown! Mayumi - Thank you and Mr. Mayumi for a WONDERFUL weekend! It will be hard to ever watch anything Adam again without your 110 inch screen to show him in all his EPICNESS! What a fun filled weekend - full of good friends, good company, great food (kicked me off my diet :-/) and what a fantastic hostess/host. To all Atops who shared in this weekend - How wonderful to meet you or to see you again. What a band of comrades, united by one common thread, that turned out to be made of many threads of gold, silver, glitter, starlight, joy and ADAM's music! Much luv to you all!

Mangokat reporting in! We just arrived home from the Atlanta trip, tired after a long day of driving, but we all had a wonderful time. Rih just headed back north to her place and should be calling me within 2 hours to let me know she's arrived safely. With that, we should all be back home. As all the other's have said, it was a fun, fun weekend, and we wish you all could have joined us. Mayumi and her DH are the best hosts we could ask for, and we can't thank them enough for all the great food and great fun. And Mr. Mango and I want to thank all you other Atopers for making it such a great weekend. We are a fun bunch, and we look forward to the next gathering. ATOP Rules! Love y'all.

OK, one more time tonight! ;D Request from anywhere: Even though there is no 8 at 8 on the weekends, I think they might count the weekend votes for the Monday show. So, please do some voting today so we can get Adam higher than he was last Monday, which was #8 (barely made it!) www.q102.com/pages/interactive8.html

Wow, home from Mexico and what an enjoyable thread to catch up on. Before I forget, immediate thoughts: • Thanks Mszue, I am just now reading "Catching Fire," and saw that Finnick was introduced mid-way through the second book of the "Hunger Games" series. Just read that part on the plane today. I like the idea. Can't wait to read more. • OMG!!! Ralph Fiennes as Healthcliff and possible Adam ... when standoms collide – LOVED him during mid- to late-'90s and beyond. • I agree with Aloha that Adam should play straight when the role calls for straight. If the writer decided to play with gender switching for a compelling reason and Adam was eventually cast, then cool, but to do it just to do it, I don't think that works really. Speaking of, this reminds me of a conversation I had last night with a group of journalists. I was relating a rumor I heard on Twitter that three A-list actors were going to publicly come out next week at the same time (let me reiterate this is a RUMOR; I have no idea if it has any basis in fact), but it was interesting to speculate who those actors might be. The usual suspects (Cruise, Travolta) were mentioned, of course and the topic came around to the issue of how that would affect their careers and roles, etc. One of the women said, "Like Kevin Spacey, he couldn't play the role in 'American Beauty' if he was out, no one would believe him." I said, "Oh no, he certainly could play it. He did. And he did it brilliantly, winning an Oscar." HIS performance would have been the exact same either way, it's OUR perception of that performance that would have been different, so the problem lies with us, not him or his abilities as an actor. She and her husband both kind of had a lightbulb moment and said, "You're right. I hadn't thought of it that way, but yes, we're the ones who have to shift our thinking." I went on to point out that gay people have been playing straight roles brilliantly for decades, if not centuries, so the issue isn't with them playing the roles, it's about us dropping any preconceived notion about who can play what. (ETA: Meant to add that straight people have played gay roles brilliantly as well.) The role should go to the actor most suitable to convey the part; his or her orientation should have absolutely nothing to do with it. • The Atlanta party sounded like a blast!! So glad everyone had so much fun!! Sorry, Coke, that your vid has been flagged already.

Cassie, Lynneville and Mischa - can you PM your email addresses? I want to send you the pictures DH took.
