We wouldn't mind if it was Adam's socks - there is something wrong with us IMHO ;D Or after seeing photos from RoveLA - no socks at all.

Goodnight, Atop family! I'm going to a wedding tomorrow, so I won't have time to visit with you. And on Sunday I'm driving home (8 hours) so I won't have time either. I'm going to miss you all. I'll be on Twitter, though, so I hope I won't miss anything important. Talk to you soon!

I am not familiar with Saturday Night Online. What can we expect when they talk to Adam this Sat? Is he gonna be in their studio live? Are they gonna play Trespassing, does that have significant impact? I'm sorry to hear they're not Adam friendly. I know Adam did some kind of answering fans' questions thingy for them ( he answered mine ;D) . He did it from his home and I never learned if it aired somewhere or how this SNO thing worked. Here's that video: Thanks for that vid Soaked, AleksandraKv I had never seen it before ;D ;D ;D LOL at all the umms

The Voice China is produced by Star China Media, owned by powerful Chinese media investment fund - "China Media Capital and News Corporation, is the only foreign channel that has the right to broadcast directly in China. Based on the international resources, STAR TV is tailor made to more than 100 million Chinese audience with mainly entertainment shows. It is broadcasting 24 hours a day in Mandarin Chinese." And, the show is broadcast on Zhejiang Satellite TV --- one of many many Chinese national state-owned networks.
As for the ad revenue, based on an article dated on Aug 31, "So far the show is proving so successful that advertising slots have sold for Rmb360,000 ($56,600) for 15 seconds – generating up to Rmb16 million a week for the one-hour show. The slots are getting more expensive every week, says Economic Observer. “Every advertiser desperately wants to squeeze in. The cost has now risen to Rmb400,000 for 15 seconds,” says Cheng Wei, a producer at Zhejiang Satellite TV." (source: www.weekinchina.com/msingle/?mpage=15278).
And, according to english.cntv.cn/program/china24/20121003/101324.shtml, dated on Oct 3, during the peak of the Voice finale, the ad prices reached 1.16 million rmb for 15 seconds, and the show has raked in more than 100 million rmb in ad revenue alone up to now.
Well, all these numbers sounded fine and dandy but it really has very little or nothing to do with whether or not Adam got paid, or how much.
To all you Chinese glamberts lurking on this forum out there (yes, I know you are! ;D ), you know this phrase all too well, "出场费“. It's a standard practice, basically means the fees for the big celebs & stars to make a TV or on-stage appearance, sometimes, all they have to do is show up for a few minutes of face time. See, in China things are a bit different than in the States. The national networks and local TV pay big money for the mega names to appear on their programs. For example, according to "baidu" (Chinese google) that female judge from the Voice China was reportedly paid somewhere around 300,000 rmb for her appearance at a state network program (I really hope there's some singing involved for that kind money ). But, there're a few national shows that are considered a honor to be asked sort of deal, CCTV Annual Chinese New Year Gala comes to mind, most of performers on there are free even the mega names are reportedly paid minimum (more like a gesture).
No,the Voice China didn't need Adam nor used him for ratings draw, but having an American major artist performing on their show, particularly "The Voice", only elevated the show to another level. It was no coincidence that the audience at 80s Talk Show sang TFM to Adam. That movie 2012 was a huge blockbuster in China and Asia, which was how most Chinese/Asians discovered Adam and his voice. His voice and singing ability is tremendously revered in Asia throughout. I would say it was Adam's honor to be asked to appear on the Voice China as much as their honor to have Adam on their show!
I have no knowledge if Adam got paid, or how much, but, it does not really matter, does it?!
ETA: okay, my feeling is Adam got paid and well, but I'm not sure about 1mil. Jackie Chan, the most famous and worldwide recognized Chinese movie star, is reportedly making 1~1.5million RMB per appearance.
